If you celebrate Christmas at all, when are you in the mood to start seeing Christmas commercials, movies, decorations, etc.? I ask because I noticed the Hallmark channel has started their Countdown to Christmas already. They started it on Friday, before Halloween has even passed. This is a marathon of Christmas movies and nothing else until January 2.
I like Christmas movies but not this early. To me, showing them this early and so many of them takes a lot of the specialness out of them. They're usually cheesy anyway but I like them because it's that time of year.
What do you think? I guess some people must want to watch or they wouldn't do it but I just think it's too soon.

Personally, I don't get into it until after Thanksgiving. I just don't feel it's right to celebrate Christmas until then. But, as soon as I wake up on Black Friday, I start playing Christmas music.

I'm a one holiday at a time person. I HATE walking into the stores and seeing Halloween stuff sitting right by Christmas stuff. And I'm with you wendylou . I don't want to see Christmas movies before Halloween is over either. There's no reason to show 2 months of Christmas movies......over and over and over again. Plus it messes up my routine of watching the Golden Girls as I fall asleep at night  Starting tomorrow, I will be taking all of my Halloween decorations down. I usually put up Christmas lights the day after Thanksgiving, but because the number of lights I put up continues to grow (currently over 5,000 lights), I have to start putting them up as soon as the Halloween decor comes down. My lights will NOT be turned on tho until the Friday after Thanksgiving. |

I like to watch the Golden Girls at night too mae00 and sometimes in the morning when I'm getting ready. It puts me in a better mood than watching a bunch of bad news in the morning. |

We like to watch The Middle on Hallmark channel in the evenings.
I was annoyed to walk into Lowe's a few days ago and see Christmas trees lit up.
I'm not in the Christmas frame of mind in October. Good grief!

I love Christmas But as mentioned one at a time Canadian thanksgiving is on October and after today I'm in the spirit because Halloween is over I will admit I love cheesy Christmas movies, baking Christmas goodies and carols and decorating I wouldn't care too much about gifts I more or less like the togetherness of the time of year and of course the food I also love Christmas parties where everyone wears an ugly Christmas sweater like Zack Morris on save by the bell  |
