I am looking forward to more. I am really enjoying this story. I can esure you that you wont be disappointed with the next chapters they are all fantastic they make you keep wanting more. I can't wait for everyone here to read another Philip and Stephanie fan fic that Brady Diva has written called Love Again. That one is also amazing. |

Here's another chapter. Glad you guys like it.
Love Games-5
Stephanie sat at her desk and replayed last night in her head. She kept hearing EJ’s words ringing in her ears. “Philip didn’t deserve her.” Who was he to judge the status of their relationship? Almost all his relationships have been dysfunctional and borderline dangerous. He had no clue on what was really good for her.
Stephanie turns back to her computer screen to look up more information for the benefit, but she just couldn’t focus. If she wasn’t thinking about what EJ said, then she was thinking about the upcoming nuptials soon for Philip and Melanie.
She still can’t believe he proposed to Melanie and that they were going to get married soon. She hears a knock at her door that snaps her back into reality. “Come in.” She spins in her chair as Nathan peek his head in and smiles at her.
A few weeks ago if he would have done that her heart would have fluttered and she would have tried to remain cool but right now she didn’t have to try. She just felt like they were good friends. “Hey.” He says while walking over and taking a seat across from her.
“Hi, How are you?” she asked him.
“Fine just taking a break between my rounds.” Nathan smiles at her and waits for her to say something more. She could tell he wanted to ask her something but she didn’t have time for the games today. “How is the benefit going?”
Stephanie knows this isn’t what he really wanted to ask but she answers anyway.
“Good. I got a lot of the planning done for the event.”
“You want to take a break and go get some coffee in the lounge?” Nathan asked while reaching across her desk and taking his hands into hers and gently stroking her hand with his thumb. Stephanie smiles and looks down at their hands together and back at him.
“I have to get these notes done for the board.” Stephanie tells him while taking her hands away from his grasp.
“What about tonight? Maybe we could go dancing?” Nathan suggested.
“I can’t well I will be dancing but Melanie wants me to go to dance practice with her and Philip and EJ is going to be coming with me.”
“EJ.” Nathan said in a shocked tone.
“Yes EJ.” Stephanie tells him while staring back at him.
“What are you doing tomorrow?” Nathan asked her then while standing up and trying not to pick a fight.
“Tomorrow more planning for the event.” Stephanie said softly.
“So did I do something to make you angry?” Nathan asked her.
“Why do you think that?” Stephanie asked while standing up now from her seat too to and walking over towards Nathan.
“You have avoided my phone calls. Canceled all our plans and now have every excuse why we can’t do something today or tomorrow.” Nathan tries to keep his temper under control but he raises his voice angrily at the end.
“I’ve just been busy.” Stephanie said with a sigh. She thinks to herself that EJ was right putting the brakes on things abruptly with Nathan has made him want her more. She laughs a little and can’t believe he was right.
“Now I’m funny to you.” Nathan exclaims.
“Nathan.” Stephanie stops him. “It’s not you. I was just thinking about something EJ said.”
“EJ.” Nathan repeats his name with a hint of distain. “What is with you?”
“With me?” Stephanie asked in a defensive tone.
“First it was Philip now it is EJ. You pick this disruptive bad boy type; that spell nothing but trouble and hurt you in the long run.”
“They would never hurt me.” Stephanie tells them.
“We saw how they’d never hurt you this summer.” Nathan tells her before walking out of her office.
Stephanie wanted to scream out of aggravation. She had now Nathan critiquing who she should be with. When last week he was telling her they couldn’t be together. When Melanie didn’t want anything to do with him he was open to the idea of them again and wanted her to drop her plans so they could be together.
Stephanie takes a seat at her desk and tries to focus on writing these notes for the board. She hears another knock on the door. Before she can say something EJ is barging in. She laughs and thinks to herself typical. He smiles at her and takes a seat across from her. He puts his feet on her desk and Stephanie quickly pushes them off. He laughs at her and sits up in his chair and looks her deeply in her eyes. Stephanie blushes a little and looks away. She hated when he’d look at her like that. The lines of the game seemed to get blurred when he did that.
“What?” Stephanie finally asked. Since he seemed content on just torturing her.
“What were you and Doogie Howser talking about?”
“Nothing.” Stephanie replies while turning back to her work.
“You are honest to a fault.”
“I didn’t know honesty could be a fault.” Stephanie retorted while now facing him again.
“It is when we are playing a game.” EJ said with a laugh. “Lie to me, torture me, with thoughts of a hot sexcapade going on in here.” EJ teased he seemed to inch closer with every word he said. Every inch he came closer it felt her heart raced faster.
“Speaking of this game you were out of line saying Philip didn’t deserve me.” Stephanie told him while turning away from again.
“Wrong.” EJ gasped while standing up and now coming to her side of the desk. “I just said how I felt.”
“Well you know nothing about that subject.” Stephanie reminds him while turning in her chair to face him.
“I won’t bash the Kiriakis Prince anymore if it hurts your feelings.” EJ teased. “To me and I know my opinion isn’t golden. He isn’t good enough. He might have been good enough at one point in time but right now he isn’t. You shouldn’t be chasing him. He should be chasing you.”
“He did but I pushed him away.” Stephanie said while looking down at the ground. “I tried to change him and he resisted. Maybe I pushed him too far and he thinks it’s not worth it.”
“The love of a good woman is worth the world.” EJ tells her while taking his hand and lifting her face towards him so she could see him say it. “He will realize that maybe it will be too late then. Maybe then you will realize how amazing I am and you’ll want this sexy brit.”
“Oh yes.” Stephanie teases while standing up.
“What are you doing here anyway?” Stephanie asked him.
“Well I was going to call you and tell you that Rafe and Sami had to cancel so we are going to go to an earlier class with Mel and Philly but I thought hey let me come and see you and tell you this.” EJ said with a smile.
“Oh be still my heart.” Stephanie teased while grabbing her heart.
“I know its beating out of control.” EJ teased while inching closer to her. “But nurses love to talk. I come in for a mid afternoon chat in your office. It will be the buzz of the hospital. We will be the new IT couple.”
“Oh joy.” Stephanie teased.
“Yes oh joy indeed. One step close to our goals.” He reminded her.
“Yes definitely.” Stephanie said with a smile.
“Do you have two left feet or are you a graceful dancer?” EJ asked her.
“I’m an amazing dancer.” Stephanie retorts while poking him in the chest.
“Good I didn’t want us to be stumbling around tonight.” EJ told her. “We have to look natural tonight so the chemistry will ooze.”
“Yes I want it to be game set match.” Stephanie teased.
“Well you can’t win a game in the first quarter.” EJ reminds her. EJ walks over to her alarm clock and cuts on the radio for it. He turns it to a classical station. “What is your forte.”
“I took dance when I was younger almost all of them.” Stephanie tells him while shutting down her computer. It seemed like she was going to get any work done this afternoon anyway.
“Well then lets dance.” EJ told her while extending his hand.
Stephanie looks around her office and laughs. “Do you see the size of my office?” We could barely do anything in here.”
“We could do a whole lot of something in here.” EJ teased while taking her hand.
“Oh please.” Stephanie says with a laugh.
“We have to practice a little. I want you to melt in my embrace like you would with dear Philip.” EJ said while pulling her in closely.
“Melt huh.” Stephanie said with a laugh while resting her head on his chest and swaying with him to the music.
“Yes melt.” EJ whispered softly. He runs his hand gently down her back. He seemed to get lost in the moment himself then he hears the door creak open.
“Oops.” Mel exclaimed. “Next time we will knock harder.” She said while looking over at Philip and winking. He forces up a smile but you could obviously see he didn’t like what he had seen.
“Sorry didn’t hear you over the music.” Stephanie said while pulling herself away from EJ and straightening her dress. She walks over to the radio and cuts it off.
“Trying to get a little practice in.” Melanie teased them.
“Guilty as charged.” EJ said while putting up his hand and then putting his arm around Stephanie.
“If only you would say that for all the other charges against you, the world would be a better place.” Philip said with a smile. Melanie nudges him and gives him a warning look.
“So are you to ready to have some fun tonight?” Melanie asked.
“Ready as we’ll ever be.” EJ responded.
“I’m just going get my stuff together really quickly.” Stephanie tells them.
“I’ll wait for you.” EJ tells her
“No go catch the elevator. I’ll be right there.” Stephanie tells them.
EJ, Melanie and Philip walk out of her office. While Stephanie puts her things in her brief case. They start to head to the elevator but Philip stops. “I’ll be right back. I see one of my business partners. I just want to see say something to him. I’ll meet you guys in the lobby.” Philip tells the both of them.
“Ok.” Melanie says while squeezing his hand before he left. She hits the button for the elevator. EJ watches how Philip walks back to Stephanie’s office he looks around before sneaking back in and EJ smiles a little to himself before entering the elevator.
Stephanie hears her door creak back open. “I told you EJ you didn’t have to wait for me.” She said while closing her briefcase and looking up from the briefcase, she was surprised to see Philip standing at the door. He closes it behind him before stepping into the room, she feels her breathe get caught in her throat when he does this. “Can we talk for a second?” He asked her. She felt her hearting racing just from his presence in the room. The stare only intensified this feeling. She nods her head since she couldn’t really get the words together to tell him yes.

I wouldn't be able to say anything but yes to Philip either.
I could really feel Stephanie's emotions and anxiety as I read this. Great story BradyDiva! Thank you.

LOVING this story which surprises me cause I HATE Stephanie and I equally hate EJ.
I love EJ in this story. I keep wanting him to kiss Stephanie for some
Reason. Even though I know this

There are about 10 Chapters posted at the Philip and Stephanie site. There is another great Phinie fan fix that Brady Diva wrote called Love Again. This one is about how Stephanie and Philip would find their way back to each other after the Paternity fall out.

I bet it would be a great story. I will wait until she posts it here. LOVE the story and cannot wait to read more and others written by her. She's a great author.
