What are everyone's plans for Halloween? Having a party? Going to a party? Taking the kids trick or treating?

For the first time in 2 years, I'll have the boys on Halloween. Not sure what we are going to do yet. I may see if we can do a Halloween party at the house this weekend. I'm afraid that Jacob is getting a little to old to go trick or treating. He's 12 and already over 5'4" so I'm afraid that if we tried to trick or treat around places that we don't know, he might get a little backlash for trick or treating "at his age". I'll just have to see what some other friends want to do.

We are going to a Halloween event at a local high school on Friday night. Saturday night we are going to a Halloween party and cookout at a friend's house. On Halloween we will probably trick or treat in our neighborhood.
We went to a Halloween event at the zoo a few weeks ago.

Tonight we went to a Halloween event at a nearby high school. The high school kids decorate the hallways and dress up in costumes. There's trick or treating, a scary room, games, and face painting. Then we went to a Halloween party at a church near our house.

I need to pick something up for the T & T'ers. A couple of years ago I didn't have any candy so I gave them cough drops. Hey the Cold and Flu Season is coming up.

My grandpa used to pass out dimes when he ran out of candy. That was in the 70's and early 80's.

Happy Halloween!
We went trick or treating with friends. We went to a friend's neighborhood. We had fun. Is it wrong that I stopped at a neighborhood tavern to use the bathroom? The moral is don't drink several glasses of iced tea before you go trick or treating.

fluffysmom, no it's not wrong. I've been known to stop wherever for convenience. Glad you had fun. We sat out on our porch on the bench with a big bowl of candy. The little ones are so cute. They are shy and not even sure why they're there. One little one kept looking at the bowl of candy as if to say, why are you only giving me one pice when you have that big bowlful?

That sounds fun Kpatch. A lot of people were sitting outside passing out candy. It was 70 degrees tonight. It was so nice not to need a jacket during trick or treating. It's often much colder on Halloween. A little kid was scared of Monica's costume. She took off her mask to reassure him.

Monica was Ghostface from Scream. She originally wanted to go as a character from Lord of the Rings but the costume would have been hard to create since I don't see. She saw the mask and liked it.

We did a very short trick or treat stint last night. Neither one of the boys were that into going at first. Ethan wanted to but couldn't make up his mind what to go as. It was even more difficult since I told them that I was NOT going to town to buy a costume. That decision should have been made before Halloween night. Jacob ended up going as a Dark Assassin and Ethan ended up going as a Ninja disguised as a robber.

Halloween was good for me. I dressed up as Charlie Brown and handed out candy to the trick-or-treaters. In all, we had between 30 and 50 people come last night. Also, as it was Monday, I did my radio program. And this time, it was Halloween themed. You can listen to it here, if you wish: www.spreaker.com/user/4485607/the-mixs-2016-halloween-spooktacularGlad everyone else had a good Halloween!
