The actor previously played a small role on the show in November 2010 during the quarantine story. "I'm a photographer in my spare time and I've gone to Mozambique and taken pictures of little kids in order to sell those pictures and make proceeds to the kids in orphanages," the actor explains. "The character I played kind of fit that; he had just gotten back from some third world country and he had contracted a deadly disease. So Marnie [Saitta, casting director] saw me and she was like, 'Well, I think you fit the character perfectly.' When I went in to actually shoot, it was super fast paced. I didn't even know they were shooting. I thought we were rehearsing. I literally was walking off the NBC lot and my manager called me and said, 'They want to see you again.' I'm like, 'What?!' The actor went in and won the role of Dario. The never-mentioned Hernandez sibling arrives in Salem with a plan. "The initial motivation of the character is that he wants to find out who killed his sister [Arianna], and he feels bad that he's been out of town for so long," explains the newcomer. "His main goal is to make money to get some information and try to figure out who killed her. In doing that, he doesn't plan for the things that come up along the way." So who is this guy? "He's always been the kind of screw-up in his family," says San Martin. "Deep down he does things for the right reasons and his heart is in the right place. But he's somewhat guarded, a little bit cynical. He's also a bit jaded, but he's become that way as a result of what he's lived through all his life." The actor who was born in Majorca, but raised both in Spain and the United States, knows a little something about Salem. "When I was growing up in Montana, I used to watch the show with my mom and sister," he recalls. "I followed the Stefano and Marlena storyline and how she was possessed. I knew everything and Bo and Hope. It's a huge honor to be here." |

Thanks for posting. I wonder how this is going to turn out. I have seen Molly Burnett tweet that she has been filming lots of scenes with Francisco.

Poor guy doesn't know yet that the Salem PD never solves anything! He should read jkjpatch's current story!

I'm kind of blah about them dragging out more of this Arianna crap. She is done and gone now. Leave it be.
Rafe2 is not even going to know who the heck he is. That could be funny to see.

I just think it is funny considering it has been mentioned in KPatch's story about Arianna's unsolved murder and now Dario is gonna come to town to figure out who did it. I don't think we will really find out. By the sounds of it his character is a little misguided and he will just make things worse.

Oh Lord, Arianna's getting resurrected. Blech! Sorry...as much as I want a new male character to drool over, I still am not buying the serious dysfunctional Hernandez family with the Mom that lets the teenager move into the pub with the sister that just got out of prison and now the brother that was forgotten completely by both sisters and his brother. HopefullyI like the actor better than this convoluted storyline
