PENTHOUSE
MARLENA: You’ve just purchased the building?
NICHOLAS: Yes. I’ve been thinking lately that it’s time for me to move out of the Mansion, lovely though it is. So, I had someone look into places to buy, this building came up.
JOHN: I see.
NICHOLAS: Don’t worry, I won’t be making any changes. Well, not any major ones, anyway. I certainly won’t be kicking anyone out. I’ll just be moving in across the hall from you, and the only major change is that I will be hiring a new landlord.
MARLENA: Well, welcome to the building.
NICHOLAS: Thank you. I’m quite looking forward to this. It should be something of a new beginning.
MARLENA: Well, good.
NICHOLAS: Well, if you’ll excuse me, I’ll be taking that look around now.
JOHN: Yeah, we have places we need to be getting, as well. We’ll be seeing you around.
NICHOLAS: See you around, neighbors.
John, Marlena and Nicholas went their separate ways.
SAMI & LUCAS’ APARTMENT
Later that day, Sydney and Silver were sitting on Sydney’s bed, playing a board game.
SILVER: I’m so sorry to hear about what happened to you. Are you okay? Sorry, stupid question. Of course you’re not okay, but…
SYDNEY: I know what you meant. And I’ll be alright. The doctors say it’s just a sprain, so I’ll have to wear it in a sling for a few weeks, but then I’ll be fine.
SILVER: That’s good.
SYDNEY: I’m more worried about Johnny. There was so much blood! And he was supposed to wake up this morning, but from what my Mom said, he hasn’t yet.
Silver patted Sydney’s hand.
SILVER: I hope he’ll be okay.
SYDNEY: Me too. Thanks for being here, Silv.
SILVER: Of course, always.
SYDNEY: How’s Meadow doing? Both with all this, and in general?
Silver shrugged.
SILVER: I didn’t really see much of her. I was already asleep by the time she got home last night, and my Mom’s the one who told me what happened when I woke up this morning. I guess she’s doing the best she can.
SYDNEY: That makes sense.
BRADY PUB
Eric had stopped by to double-check with Chelsea and Max on the final preparations for tomorrow.
MAX: Chad DiMera is going to be Georgia’s godfather.
CHELSEA: And we’ve got Stephanie Johnson as her godmother.
Eric nodded and wrote something down on a pad of paper.
ERIC: Right, that looks good. We have both of them down. Father James has his part worked out already, of course. And the readings you’ve chosen are in, so I believe that is everything.
CHELSEA: Great!
MAX: Thanks for doing this, man.
ERIC: My pleasure. Father James and I will be seeing you in the morning.
CHELSEA: Sounds good. Oh, and Johnny is in our prayers.
ERIC: Thank you. We’re all praying for him. It’s in God and the doctor’s hands now.
MAX: Is there any update on his condition?
ERIC: Not that I know of since this morning, I’m sorry to say. I appreciate you praying for him, though. I’m sure Sami does, as well.
CHELSEA: Of course. Well, take care. See you tomorrow.
ERIC: Sounds good, see you then.
Eric picked up his things and left.
