Good news indeed. I'm glad he's back and I hope it means Paul will have more air time too. I also hope he gets some screen time with Ari and Gabi. As happy as I am about this every time I see returning actor news I get my hopes up that it's Jay.  |

As happy as I am about this every time I see returning actor news I get my hopes up that it's Jay. Freddie's return was really need, while the writing for the recast Will (Guy Wilson) was horrible and the might be question about it being a miscast but I think writing was more the issue because of not believable chances to Will's character that occurred with that write cast the writing time that came in on the heals of it. I not upset with the idea of Paul and Sonny while I was an original Will/Sonny fan my issue is with the cast of Sonny/Paul/Will's generation that particular writing staff of Days has cost itself, including Freddie Smith's choose to leave the show for about a year before signing a new contract now ( I know he had lost of reason likely) but the writing the way his Will and Paul's character all got treated but the new writing staff at the time of the choose I wouldn't be surprised if it was part of the reason). Gabi needs more air time period with Ari, with JJ and also with Sonny upon his return Sonny & Paul need air time with Gabi and hopeful Ari but w cast members more at large Brady for example, Brady & Paul are half brothers... Sonny & Brady are related to Victor (great uncle (sonny is related to victor) grandfather (Brady is related to victor) many people need their story line to resolve less around victor that includes returning sonny and Brady as it is now. Sonny, Gabi, Paul , Brady need focus with Friends, jobs and romance (especially if it not just a matter of Jen Lilly's existing but a write out of Theresa as well) Tate can't be Brady's sole focus (leading to boring story lines) what about Sonny (he really shouldn't be working for Victor but TBD if i listened right is now longer owned by Sonny but Eduardo. |

YAY Sonny!!!!!!!!!! I don't care to see a Paul/Sonny romance start up. I really just don't care for Paul. But I love Sonny & Ari's relationship. He better get quite a bit of screen time with her since he was such a huge staple in her life before Will.........left.

I am very glad Sonny was finally back as of today but i've got to say it what is with Days annoying habit of being returning characters back in the finale scene of a episode on the first appearance back on screen its annoying, especially with a character like Sonny who people want to see a part of a story line on that day. I can think of some very un-needed scenes (The philip-Chloe-Claire scenes) and the Deimos/Nicole's scenes. If we'd gotten something from Tate's kidnapping story line Brady/Theresa or John and gang who were seeking out leads making calls and following through, then I could have understood bringing Sonny back in the closing scene but the only interesting continuation story line we got needed were Deimos/Justin... Nicole/Dario (about re-decorating TBD). We had an episode larger with basically filler story line's and when were get those it seems to me that the re-entry of a character like Sonny can get more scene time the the finale scene of that first episode back.
