Anyone have plans this weekend. I am meeting a friend for lunch on Saturday. Maybe a dip in the pool. Perhaps something on the grill. That's about it.
Thanks and gratitude to all who serve to keep us safe and free including our men and women in blue!

My girls are attending birthday parties on Saturday. I'm not sure what else we are doing. I'm hoping to grill out when we are between thunderstorms.

It's supposed to rain all weekend, so I think I'll walk around the Pottery. There are three long indoor buildings, so it's a great place to walk laps. We don't have a grill, so I'll get a burger at the BBQ place down the street. LOL

I'm hoping Saturday evening is good weather. Sami is going to an outdoor birthday party including a hay rack ride and smores.

A 3-day weekend of food, food, food and beer, beer, beer! Hot dogs, hamburgers, steak, BBQ'd chicken, macaroni salad, potato salad, potato chips. Can't forget the surf, shrimp, scallops, crab claws! After 5 days of healthy I need this!
But on a serious note I will spend Monday visiting or calling (unfortunately mainly calling) family and friends who have served overseas. I have not, nor will I be able to thank them enough!
Well.....There You Have It!

We will be heading to my parents' house for their Memorial Day cookout tomorrow. I'm waiting on eggs to boil so I can make deviled eggs to take. Hubby's off Monday, so we'll probably be cooking ribs or burgers or something on the grill.
And I'm waiting on one of Annabelle's coaches to drop of her catcher's gear so we can work in some actual practice sometime this weekend. I just watched a video of my niece's team (they're the littler of the two teams in my hometown) where one of their smaller players barreled over the catcher of the opposing team at home plate. So, since Annabelle's catcher, that's got me really nervous and wanting to do some catching and tagging drills.

I hope day 1 of this 3 dayer went well.
Some have mentioned T-Boomers, I hope they stayed away!
Its daybreak, time to crank up day 2. Everybody enjoy and stay safe.

Tomorrow we will visit the cemetery where hubby's parents are buried. We'll set out flowers and flags on some military graves.

I hope everyone had a GREAT 3-day'er!
I had a big race party last night and with a few Vets mixed in it was a lot of fun!
I hate paper plates, plastic silverware (that does not make sense). AnyWHO, I used every plate, lil' plate, bowl, fork and knife I had. I spent all morning washing dishes.
My question is? Am I the only one who washes their dishes by hand?
Again I hope everyone had a lot of fun!
Well.....There You Have It!

We had three flags and placed one on hubby's uncle's grave. We placed the other flags on two graves, each man was in WWI. My question is? Am I the only one who washes their dishes by hand? My son's wife grew up without a dishwasher. Her mother still doesn't have one. I have a dishwasher but I love washing dishes by hand. It's therapeutic.

I hand wash anything plastic but everything else goes in the dishwasher.

You may not have a dishwasher but you do have clean dishes!
Nothing worse than eating somewhere that is not home and you get a unclean fork with dried egg yoke on it!
Or you are trying to be the perfect lodger, the perfect guest, (I hear Bob Seger in the background). And you help with the dishes, but first we have to wash the dishes before we put them in the dishwasher. My dumb ass sister does it this way.
