My sister and her boyfriend live an hour away, so they took my mom out to lunch yesterday. Mom and I will go to lunch on Sunday.

My mom decided she doesn't want to go anywhere today.  It's a beautiful, sunny day here. It's been raining almost every day this month and it's supposed to rain for several days again starting on Wednesday, so I plan to enjoy the nice weather. I'm going to Burger King for lunch and then I'll go shopping. I hope all of you (mothers or not) have a lovely day!  |

I'm going to go to the cementary to visit the graves of my birth mother, paternal grandmother and my step-grandmother on my stepmother's side. Then my aunt is supposed to show up with maybe her son and we're going to have lunch. Hopefully I can get some writing done today.

I forgot we have the wedding rehearsal today! I'm a baaaad mom.
I ordered flowers for my mom and she got them yesterday. She said they're adorable and everyone she met on her way back to her apartment oohed and aahed over them. My sisters are going there for dinner today and she said she'll ask one of them to send me a picture. If they do, I'll post it here.

I missed this thread earlier, but there is still time for me to with everyone a Happy Mother's Day!
While May 8th is the official Mother's Day Holiday, everyday is Mother's Day to me. Tomorrow will be yet another Mother's Day for me and I feel lucky that I can add to the tally. I have already had 19 or 20 thousand of them and with each one I feel blessed. I see my mom or call her every single day and I hope you do the same with your mom.
I had a great day and will have another great day tomorrow, I hope you did too and do too!

Ted Bell, Thank you. I also think every day is Mother's Day. The same about most "special" day holidays. A couple of years ago I started calling my mom every day after she had a serious health episode. About a month ago my sister told me mom told her I only call to check on her. I realized then that our calls are so much more. Most of the time she is giving me advice and guidance. I don't know if she was joking with my sister but I made sure I told them both that.
