Why even do a thread comparing ANYBODY to Jay Kenneth Johnson as Philip, when hands down JKJ wins! Seriously JKJ as Philip is incomparable. I like JPL and respect him as an actor, he was great as Rex on OLTL, and he but he CANNOT play Philip Kiriakis! I like him but it seems like he is playing a new character not Philip! Seriously why did Days cast him as Philip? I like JPL but only Jay can be Philip.

I did like JPL on both soaps, but as you say, he is not and cannot be Philip. He doesn't create the same charm, charisma and personality traits that we all recognize as Philip; only JKJ does that!! |
