(SoapOPeraNetwork.com) — When rumors began swirling back in June over the possible returns of Deidre Hall, Drake Hogestyn, Christie Clark and even Patrick Muldoon to NBC’s “Days of our Lives,” there was one other name on the list that unfortunately didn’t make it from rumorville to the confirmation stage weeks later. That name was Bryan Dattilo. Two months after the rumors first surfaced, fans have taken to Twitter to question “DAYS” cast members, writers and even soap opera publications, including Soap Opera Network, about their favorite actor and whether or not there are plans to return Dattilo’s character, Lucas Horton, to Salem now that some of Salem’s other popular characters and actors have returned. A “DAYS” representative has finally set the record straight by stating that although the show is aware of fan interest in the actor and character and that “everyone wants him back”, there are “as of now no plans” to return the character or actor to the canvas. |

Dang. I'd much rather have Lucas back than any of the other returning characters except for Jack.

Are you freaking kidding me? How lame. This was the one I was most excited about. That totally just put a HUGE damper on my excitement for September.

I wasn't expecting Lucas for September. This "news" really doesn't change anything and I still expect him to return. TBTB are betting on the wrong plan and it won't be enough to get Days where they want it. They are still trying to keep too much status quo and I prefer for TPTB to realize that and make deeper changes before Lucas returns anyway. Once this latest plan doesn't pan out they will be changing plans again and its not like Jarlena, Caustin or Jack was always their plan either. What I take from this article is that they already have a second phase/back up plan in mind (Bryan) because they know they are gambling. I can wait it out (cause my salary isn't tied to Days' ratings) when they get serious about fixing Days I'll give it another shot ... until then I'll continue enjoying General Hospital.

That was my original thinking too DJM. They were just keeping it hush hush and going to surprise us.
FLuffy: Carrie, Austin, Marlena and John are all back on contract. Not sure about Jack but I have seen confirmation about the other four.

I would love for Lucas to be back. What in the world would Sami do? She would have Austin, Lucas, and Rafe all in town at the same time. Craziness!!
