I wanted to give everyone at MyHourglass a heads-up: I was fortunate enough to be invited to a press reception and junket on the Days set yesterday. I had the opportunity to interview Deidre Hall, Drake Hogestyn, Arianne Zuker, Freddie Smith, Kate Mansi, and Sarah Brown -- didn't have time to make it some of the others, whom I'd loved to have spoken with! INCREDIBLY lucky. I'm writing a freelance piece for an LGBT magazine based in the South (a friend runs it) that's putting Deidre Hall on the cover of a special Divas issue, so that was how I got the invite. And I got lots of extra stuff for the blog and to share here!  |

My favorite interviews were probably Kate Mansi (Abigail) and Sarah Joy Brown (soon-to-be Madison). They were just very warm and had lots to say about the show. Arianne Zuker (Nicole) was awesome, too, but she had less to say about the show itself -- I think Nicole's direction under the new regime isn't super-clear -- but we talked about her baby a lot. Haha. And Freddie Smith (Sonny) was very well-spoken and seems to have a great outlook on his character and his place in Salem.

Great interview with Deidre and Drake. The pictures of the new set are terrific. That's awesome that Drake asked you to be in a photo with him and Deidre. Love the photo Mikey. I can't wait to read more.
