I can't believe that Luke told Robert that Ethan is his son! I understand why he did, I just wasn't expecting the conversation to take that turn.
Crazy Connie/Kate would be even better if the actress was better.... but Johnny made those scenes today. Of course he would be the one person in Port Charles to first figure out that Kate is schizophrenic since he's the one person that no one is going to believe ... well, maybe Olivia will. I'm hoping for more of Johnny and Carly soon.
I can't say that I was looking forward to Michael and Starr before but today's show peaked my interest. Michael has gotten more tolerable in the past few months but I still hadn't warmed back up to him. Today, he got to me. The look on his face when he was listening to Starr find out about her baby and boyfriend was perfect - I wanted to hug him.

I loved the Luke and Robert scenes today. I just don't like that Ethan is going to end up being Robert's son though. The use of history in those scenes made the whole show for me today especially with the way that Luke was comparing what he did to Jake with what Robert was going through losing Robin. I love having Robert back on the show since I didn't realize just how much I actually missed him until last Wednesday with his scenes in the morgue with Robin's dead body.
Kate is finally starting to get interesting to me now that she is turning into Connie and I wish that the old actress was playing her still but Johnny was definitely the highlight of those scenes. I am so glad that the new writers have realized just how talented Brandon Barash is and are finally giving him some good material to work with especially with Carly. I can't wait to see some more Johnny and Carly scenes.
I am glad that the writers allowed us to see Patrick tell Emma about Robin's death. That little girl who plays Emma is so very adorable and when Emma wanted to give her mom a bandaid I completely lost it. I liked that Liz was there to help Patrick tell Emma about Robin's death since Liz just had to go through the trauma of telling her sons about Jake's death not too long ago. Jason Thompson is doing such a great job with these aftermath scenes of Robin's death and I am so glad that the show brought back Robin's parents for this storyline.
The actress who plays Maxie was so awful today and I really wished that I hadn't watch the show live just so that I could've fast forwarded her scenes.
I love that Mac and Anna are sharing scenes together since the actors work so well together and it makes sense that they would be there for each other to help each other grieve over Robin's death.
I'm really not warming up yet to these OLTL people being on GH but I did like the scenes where Blair was telling Starr that Cole and Hope were dead. I think that I may end up liking Michael again if he is paired up with Starr.
I like the little twist that Kate was the one who shot Sonny and shot out Anthony's tires in order for Connie to protect Kate from Sonny. I just hate that the writers decided to kill off Hope since we just had a storyline not too long ago about Jake dieing.
I am starting to lose interest in the stuff that is going on with Jason and Sam and I hope that they get a new more interesting storyline soon because I am so over all this Franco stuff.

I've liked everything about the Robin's death storyline ... except for Maxie. I've given up on the character until/unless they get a better actress. I'm going to just start FFing all of her scenes.
I swooned a little when Roger Howarth appeared onscreen the first day (as Todd Manning) .... and then Blair quickly ruined it. I really don't like that actress or character ... and I don't think I'm going to be able to deal with Carly and Blair on the same show. I've been okay with Carly in her scenes with Johnny, Shawn, etc. but the second they put her back into ones with Sonny and fighting with Sam about Jason it all came apart.
I liked the continuation of the Luke/Robert scenes and got a better understanding of Luke's plan as he talked more. I thought he was just going to tell Robert that long enough to get him down but now I realize he's going to try and make everyone believe it to protect Ethan (and if it turns out to be true, it almost makes it easier to take because I would hate for Robert to "lose" another child so soon if he later found out that Ethan was really Luke's son after all... and maybe that's why it was written that way).

I absolutely hated Robin for like almost a decade…but the dialogue in the Patrick and Anna scenes was so amazing. I am feeling so much. Yes I grew up watching Robin, I remember when she was a little girl on the show (I was a little girl too!) and I watched her go through it all, but like I said I didn’t like her after awhile. But watching her family react to her death, has been so great. Loved the Epiphany and Patrick scene as well from last week. Maybe it is because I like Patrick, but I am just all into this. I can’t wait to see him handle being a single dad. GH always has such good dialogue…

I used to not be able to stand Robin for the longest time and I really never used to like Patrick at all until the Lisa stuff happened but now I am starting to really enjoy Patrick quite a bit. I always hated that the writers chose to make Robin a doctor since I always envisioned her to work for the WSB or the police department just like her parents and Uncle Mac did. I have a feeling that Patrick is going to end up being paired up with Liz very soon since I saw a rumor today posted on the daytime royalty board that Jason Cook/Matt was let go from the show and that he is finishing taping up his final scenes. I really hope that the new writers don't rush into a Liz/Patrick pairing and we actually get to see Patrick be a single dad to Emma for awhile and get a chance to really grieve over Robin's death before he moves on to Liz.
My favorite stuff out of today's episode was the Ephinany/Carly scenes. I loved the way that they both stood their ground with each other and it was so funny at the end where Carly stripped right in front of Ephiphany and walked out of the hospital in her bra and panties.
I still am very much liking the Carly/Johnny pairing and I really hope that the writers aren't going to have her be paired with Todd and have Johnny be paired with Kate. Johnny definitely has been making Kate more likable to me lately and I really like Connie a whole lot more than Kate.
I hated that Robert was brought back for Robin's death and now he is gone after only a few episodes. I just don't understand why he was brought back for Ethan's exit. I was really looking forward to Robert's return and now I am really upset that he won't be around for Robin's funeral. I did like the way that Luke was willing to sacrifice his own son just to save one of his closest friend's life.
I still can't really get into having all these characters from OLTL on GH. I never was a big fan of OLTL and it just seems really odd to me to see some of the characters from that show that I never really cared for.

I wasn't big into OLTL...but the characters they chose are the ones I actually liked so I am happy. Now if Natalie joins the cast prepare for me to rant. Connie Falconeri...is too fun! LOL I think the actress is doing a great job. I like Johnny and Carly, but I also could get into Carly and Todd. I am just a Carly fan, I can follow her wherever, except to Jax. I am incredibly interested in Starr and Michael. Just can't wait to see where that goes. My new wallpaper...yeah I was bored LOL...

^^^ That is the look on Michael's face that got me too Slyn - Great picture cap!
@karebr, I really enjoyed those Epiphany/Carly scenes too... and the ones with Johnny telling her how much he wishes he had been there to see that, LOL!

GH is ok I wish Robin had've died and I really hate that Ethan is not Luke's son. Blair and Starr are doing pretty well on GH but I don't care for Todd I much rather see Trevor St. John as Todd then him. I DO NOT want Michael and Starr to become a couple he can do so much better than her! I can really tell they have new writers just by the new crazy storylines GH is my fav soap but they need to step it up!

I really didn't like OLTL so I have doubts about these new writers and especially the Llanview characters. I dislike Trevor St. John and am only okay with Todd being in Port Charles because it is Roger Howarth who I like a LOT. To me the acting on OLTL (with a few exceptions) was way too over the top, with Starr and Blair being two of the worst offenders, but the actress playing Starr is young enough that I'm hoping she will improve and the character doesn't bug me that much. Blair and the actress who plays her both annoy me so I really don't like her being on the show and taking away airtime from GH characters.

Yesterday really annoyed me with all the airtime that was given to the OLTL characters. I kinda liked seeing Blair and Carly bonding over their exes but I really don't want Blair on the show whatsoever since like Kazz said the actress and the character are both annoying. Todd isn't bothering me too much with being on the show and I am really glad that Roger Haysworth is playing him since he will always be Todd to me but if they decide to have him and Carly be the next couple on the show than I am going to want to see him leave town since I really am enjoying Johnny and Carly together right now and want to see more scenes with them together. I just can't seem to warm up to Starr at all and I don't see the point of her being on the show other than to be a love interest for Michael. They should have just kept Abby for Michael. phloefansince2000Ethan is still going to be Luke's son. Luke just told Robert that Ethan was his son to stop him from killing himself and to give him a reason to want to live since his only child Robin is dead.

I just watched today's episode of GH and OMG what a great episode all around. Even Maxie for the first time since Jennifer Liley took over the role didn't annoy the crap out of me. The little girl that plays Emma is such a cute little actress and she reminds me so much of Kimberly McCullough when she first started playing Robin at the age of 6. There is definitely a lot of Robin in Emma and whoever casted this little girl did a great job at it.
Jason Thompson was so great in the scenes where Patrick was imagining seeing Robin everywhere. I really liked it when Robin helped Patrick with his tie and told him that he needed to let her go. The scenes with Liz, Matt and Emma where Emma said that she didn't want to say goodbye to her mom had me in tears and I loved seeing Liz trying to explain to Emma what a guardian angel was.
The scenes at the Quartermaine house with Tracy, Edward and Monica were great as always. I just love the way that the Quartermaines can always turn a sad occasion into something not so serious and get the viewers to laugh. I always forget that Edward has managed to outlive most of the Quartermaine family and it always breaks my heart to see him reminisce about Lila and how much everyone meant to Lila. It always makes me miss Lila more when Edward talks about how much he wishes she were still around. I have always loved the father/daughter relationship with Edward and Tracy and I love to see Tracy acknowledge how much Edward means to her. I think the Tracy/Edward stuff was my favorite part of the whole episode today.
It was nice to see Anna and Luke bonding in the church over their children.
It has been really great seeing quite a bit of Mac these past few weeks and I hope we get to continue seeing more of him. I have always loved his relationship with Robin and Maxie. For the first time since JL took over the role of Maxie she didn't annoy me today and I actually thought her scenes were pretty decent.
Sam annoyed the hell out of me today with her refusal to tell Jason about Robin's death. I understand that she is concerned about Jason's health and that she doesn't want her baby to grow up without a father but Jason deserves the right to know about Robin's death and he also deserves the chance to go to her funeral and say goodbye to her. At the same time though I understand that it may not be best for Jason to be at the funeral since Patrick is going to have enough to deal with without having to see the man that Robin gave up her life to save.
I am really looking forward to the funeral scenes for Robin. I am not sure if they are going to be tomorrow or Friday but either way they should be great. GH always does a really great job with the funerals of their main legacy characters that die.

ITA with all of that Karebr - yesterday's episode was excellent! I very rarely say this about any scene but Jason Thompson truly deserves an Emmy for his performances! Everyone is grieving but his scenes are absolutely heartbreaking. The writing has also been great - the parts about him dreaming of her and seeing her everywhere is something anyone who has ever loss someone can relate to... I don't mean literally seeing the person but the way that every room you look in you remember something about them. When my mom died, I couldn't even go in stores where we ussed to shop together because there were too many memories of her everywhere I looked even in those places.
I think Sam's wrong and agree that it was becoming annoyingly so yesterday, esp. because I kept telling her not to let Carly be right. I hate how Carly always insists that she knows everyone better than everyone else. Sam is Jason's wife and she has the right to make the decision and I think she is doing it for the right reasons but it's still the wrong decision IMO. I am glad for Patrick's sake though that he won't have to deal with Jason on top of everything else. I would like to think that Sonny has the good grace to stay away too but I doubt it.

I can't wait to see Rick Springfield back on GH next week.
This whole week has been so great with all the funeral stuff for Robin and everyone has done such a great job with the writing and acting. Jason Thompson really deserves an emmy for his performance these past few weeks. Every time I see Patrick crying I just want to reach through my tv and comfort him.
I am really looking forward to watching Carly tell Jason that Robin is dead today.
I wonder why there was not too many people at the church yesterday for Robin's memorial since everyone in Port Charles practically loved her. Would it have really have hurt the show's budget to fill the church up and make it seem like Robin had a lot of friends who wanted to say goodbye to her.
I really liked seeing all the flashbacks during the memorial of young Robin especially the ones of Mac and Robin where Robin told Mac that she was HIV positive.

My take on yesterday's funeral scenes is that it hadn't actually started yet. I took it as the family getting there early and having their own time alone before the services began. We did that when my mother passed. We had a wake and a funeral but there was time before and after both that was only for close family. I'm expecting that we will see a larger group when the scenes of the actual service air.
I liked all of the flashbacks too ... and for me they were the first time seeing them.
