So just why is Quinn being so protective of Carly? Why does he care so much? I really liked that we got a little more insight into his character on Monday when he told Carly about his mother abandoning him and his upbringing with his father, his anger, his involvement in illegal activities. Nice use of the baseball card in these scenes too.
But why is it so important to him that Carly stays with him. He clearly isn't interested in her physically. He can have his choice of women. He doesn't want Carly as a drug buying customer.
So what's the deal?

I think he feels responsible for Carly. His mother is setting out to destroy her and his moral compass is guiding him.

He did say it got to him the way she talked about Nicholas. Maybe he realizes here is a mom that loves her son. She just needs help and wishes he had had some help finding his mom sooner in life?

I think he had this image in his mind of some awful monster, as described by Vivian, and he found out that Carly is human after all. I do think there is the connection of her talking about Nicolas so much....has she even mentioned Melanie to Quinn?

I'm not sure what his story is but I'd rather see him with Carly than in scenes with Chloe.

I agree with MrsM and Rocky... I think he feels guilty for what he did to her, and realized she's not a monster. He feels responsible for ripping her life apart. Of course, I don't think he really has anything to be responsible for. Carly did this one on her own. While Vivian may have assisted her a little further towards the end of her downward spiral, ultimately, Carly is to blame for her life falling apart.

I've been really intrigued these past few weeks with the scenes between Carly and Quinn. I can't believe I am actually starting to warm up to Quinn just a little bit because of the stuff with Vivian and Carly. Too bad Carly and Vivian are both leaving soon. It could have been real interesting to have Carly and Quinn paired up with Quinn being Vivian's son and Carly being Vivian's #1 enemy. Plus I actually like the way CC and BF are acting out their scenes together. They really work well with each other and could make a very interesting pair. I just wish that all the Chloe stuff with Quinn could be dropped and he just focuses on helping Carly get over her addiction.

I am glad they are heading the redemption route with Quinn. I wonder if these episodes are a part of the rewritten stories.

No doubt they realized they needed to redeem Quinn if they had any hope of keeping him around. I like how protective he is towards Carly, but it's just a little weird to me and I'm not sure why. |

Maybe he is just obssessed with her big "girls" and that makes him wish he had been breast fed as a child ? Missed having that nurturing?  |

I'm wondering what they have in store for him as Carly, Vivian and Chloe are all leaving the show... He hasn't really interacted with others. I wish I was seeing some
Of this Quinn/Carly stuff it sounds like good stuff!!

I think he is about to interact more with other people soon. It looked to me like Daniel was about to say he recognized Quinn from the police artists sketch. Daniel saw Quinn with Chloe a long time ago. I think Quinn is also going to figure into the investigation that Bo, Hope, and Rafe are doing with the prostitute who got stabbed. If that woman is one of Quinn's employees, you would think he'd be more interested in her than in Carly. |
