Chapter 9

BRADY PUB
It was almost the end of the night. Most of the people from the wedding had gone home. Tony walked over to Shawn-D and Jan.
TONY: Congratulations again, Shawn.
SHAWN-D: Thanks.
TONY: Would you mind if I borrowed your wife for a moment? She and I have a few matters to discuss.
Tony and Jan walked outside of the Brady Pub.

OUTSIDE THE BRADY PUB
JAN: Thanks again for walking me down the isle, even though you barely know me, Mr. DiMera.
TONY: Oh, you're quite welcome, my dear. And, actually, this is part of what I wanted to talk to you about. There is a reason why I volunteered to walk you down the isle.
JAN: What's that?
TONY: You might want to sit down. This is going to be a bit of a shock.
Tony and Jan sat down on a park bench.
JAN: So, what's going on?
TONY: The reason I came back to Salem was because I have a daughter here. A daughter I have never met. I wanted to try and get in touch with her. I know that we haven't spent any time together at all in her whole life, and I don't expect her to accept me into her family, but I wanted my daughter to know the truth about who her father is.
JAN: Mr. DiMera, you're not making any sense. You told me you were going to tell me why you volunteered to walk me down the isle, but now you're telling me about some daughter you didn't even know you had until recently. What does that have to do with me?
TONY: Everything. It has everything to do with you, Jan. Many years ago, my father trapped me on a deserted island. In my early days there, there was a woman with me. She and I became very close, intimate, you might say. After about a month or two, she got rescued one day while I was out looking for food. When she got back to the states, she found out that she was pregnant with my child. Shortly after, she met and married a man by the name of Spears. The two married because she would have no way of supporting the child on her own until she could get a stable job. I didn't find out about my daughter until a few years ago, when I was rescued and returned to Salem. But, at that time, my daughter was in a coma, and I could not tell her the truth then.
JAN: Mr. DiMera...are you saying what I think you're saying?
TONY: Yes, Jan. I am your father.

Chapter 10

OUTSIDE THE BRADY PUB
JAN: You...what?
TONY: I'm your father.
JAN: Really?
TONY: Yes, really.
Jan was silent for a few minutes.
JAN: It all makes sense now.
TONY: What does?
JAN: My father...the man I thought was my father, I don't look anything like him. I mean, I've always looked a lot like my mother, but not my father.
TONY: Yes, you do have a lot of your mother in you. Speaking of which, how is your mother?
JAN: Oh...I thought you knew.
TONY: Knew what?
JAN: She's dead.
TONY: Oh, I'm so sorry.
JAN: It gets worse. I kinda did it.
TONY: What?
Jan went into the explanation of what happened to her in high school and how that would eventually lead to her obsession with Shawn-D and the death of her parents.

PHILIP & MELANIE'S APARTMENT
It was now a few nights after the wedding. Belle was staying with Philip and Melanie for a few days. Melanie was out buying groceries, while Philip and Belle were at home watching TV.
BELLE: Thanks again for letting me stay here, Philip.
PHILIP: It's not a problem, Belle. You can stay as long as you want.
Belle put her head on Philip's shoulder, and Philip put his arms around her.
BELLE: I've missed this. Being held in your arms. It feels really good.
PHILIP: I've missed it, too.
Philip kissed Belle on the forehead. Philip turned off the TV and turned on the radio. Here is the song that is playing over the radio: Then, Philip and Belle's lips touched.
BELLE: I love you, Philip. I love you so much!
PHILIP: I love you, too.
The two of them started making out.
BELLE: Wait...what about Melanie?
PHILIP: She won't be back for an hour. She'll never find out about us.
BELLE: Sounds good.
The two continued making out. And the old passion they used to have for each other was reignited.

Oh my! Melanie was so nice to let her stay there and this happens? Hope she finds out & kicks both their butts out of there!
