Do you guys think that they will go there again with Sami and Austin? I mean they were the most memorable part of the Carrie/Austin story. Could we maybe see something like that happening? I kind of want Sami and Austin to hook up again? It would be like my teen dream come true for Patrick's Austin to be with Sami. Am I the only one?  |

I think it was teen Ali's dream too! I remember her saying in an interview once that she had a big crush on Patrick Muldoon back in the day. If this story is revisited I want Lucas to be there too.

She had a huge crush on Matt Ashford too,lol.She said she was shocked when the script called for her and Matt to share a kiss a few years back.

That storyline is so overworked and SOOOOOOOOOOOO 15+ years ago. Please writers!!! DO NOT send Sami on the dead horse beaten path to ruin a good thing with Rafe!!!

My guess is that at least initially we will see Sami leaning on Austin (and with Lucas out of town he would be the next in line) and that among other things like Sami getting a life of her own and working again will lead to problems for Safe. So on some level at least I do think there will be Saustin scenes. I don't think TPTB will take it as far as romance and it definitely isn't the way I would go. The best use for Caustin IMO is in the business storylines that I'm pleased to see Days getting back to (or so the spoilers indicate). They need to bring Lucas back for the same story arc but leave he and Sami both single for a bit and focused on business and parenting and then a slow build up toward a Lumi reunion.

I will projectile vomit on my TV screen if they go that direction. And not solely b/c I'm a Lucas fan...but I didn't enjoy Sami when she was with Austin. Sami was at her neediest (IMO) when she was drooling over Austin, and I prefer the strong and self-reliant Sami that we occasionally see glimmers of. I'd prefer to see Austin interacting w/ Mommy Dearest or other characters...not Sami!

Seriously? Let's just put current pictures of Patrick and Galen side by side and see who ANY woman would go for. My guess is Galen will win hands down.
The only thing they could do that could make sense is for Sami to smile at him (Austin) and remember the crush she had on him, but then look at her drop-dead gorgeous husband and realize that the past is passed.

I wonder how Austin will react to Kate being married to Stefano. Obviously he already knows but he hasn't been there to actually see it. I hope he isn't a goody goody. At least give him an interesting s/l if he has to return.

It's fine to bring back past characters,but I really don't want them to revisit the past.Bring back the old and put them in NEW storylines.

I have no use for Carrie or Austin without Sami. Sami never truly go to be with Austin...she never could quite best Carrie. It would be nice for him at least to want her...even if she says no.
And I don't want Rafe...sorry. Until he proves he is not a robot, I am not impressed.

In the 2006 quad storyline, Sami got Austin but didn't want him because she loved Lucas. Meanwhile Lucas got Carrie only to realize he didn't want her and still loved Sami. To me that was the perfect ironic resolution that laid all the sibling rivalry between the sisters and the brothers to rest. If Lumi had listened to me ten years prior to that it could have saved them a lot of wasted years. I always thought Sami was crazy to want Austin instead of Lucas and that Lucas was crazy to have ever wanted Carrie instead of Sami. As far as I'm concerned Sami outgrew Austin years ago just like Lucas outgrew Carrie and found their true soulmate in each other.
