OK, I have a dirty little secret that I'm going to let you in on.....there is a character that I have despised since day one....everything about him...and it just got worse as time went on....but I'm liking this guy now, I"m enjoying his scenes....I've been inching that way for awhile now......that guy is EJ.....NO IT'S NOT....just checking to see if you were listening ;D ....!!!!!! It's Daniel....the acting has been good and boy can he play angry....today with Kate he was soooooo believable....not like someone who I won't mention, again, with his apoplectic spitting and shaking and over the top gestures etc. Shawn Christian plays Daniel well and is deserving of accolades......
But the character of Dr. Daniel interests me.....I find him sorta pleasant to watch lately...I like his back and forth play with Jennifer (another character I'm not too crazy about) and I see his turmoil and pain and suffering over Chloe and Parker. And his anger with Kate bursts out of my screen.....he has even helped to make some of Melanie's scenes bearable.....now if Carly can just stay at her conference forever and Dr. Dan keeps refraining from his chauvinistic attitude, his sexist remarks and behavior and his creepy exams, I might just keep liking him.......
It just occurred to me maybe I can stomach him now because he's not trying to inhale Chloe's face and he isn't rubbing his fingers all over her chest and throat....oh, gosh, now I'm thinking about that and maybe I don't like him after all......

At least I am not alone. While I haven't been daniels biggest fan, nor have I despised him, I, too have been liking him lately. I really enjoy his banter back and forth with Jennifer and his scenes with Parker were super cute today (well, yesterday for me...). I thought it was really sweet how he was telling him that Chloe will be ok and talking about baseball, etc. Then when Kate showed up, I really liked it then! Mind you, I was kind of annoyed he was talking to her like that in front of Parker, but man I loved seeing him go off on Kate like that. I really enjoy Kate and love that she never feels bad for anything she does, she can always justify it to herself, but man I love seeing her be put in her place once in a while!

I didn't despise Daniel immediately. At first, I just ignored him. It actually took quite a long time for me to hate the character.... but apparently it is also going to take me a lot longer to stop hating him too - I still can't stand the guy.

Peggy, OMG, now I am picturing you rifling through your file of shirtless men. Do you have them categorized and stickied? Thanks for posting that.
Generally speaking, I still don't like Daniel. He's more tolerable than he used to be, but he still reminds me of a cartoon character bad guy with the five o'clock shadow and bandana around his face, scruffy hair, and raspy voice. I keep waiting for him to say "stick 'em up."

Gotta agree with Paulann! I loved the line where he was playing with Parker when there was the knock on the door... He asked Parker if he had a hot date!! That was adorable. I have never disliked Daniel. I had just been disappointed in him and Peggy please, you are killing me!!!  |

I'm with those who never hated Daniel,but never quite liked him either.These days he's tolerable,and I agree,his scenes with Parker are adorable.
