I know she thinks she did Carly a disservice by keeping her confidence, but Jenn has done a complete 180. It really really bothered me that she talked about Carly's personal problems so publicly, telling Bo, Hope, and Roman that Carly was falling in love with Daniel. In my opinion, that is not information that is going to help them find Carly. It's just gossip and not germaine to the case.

I felt that way too,as much as I used to love Jenn, she is NOT someone I'd take on as a friend now.Either she's too tight lipped or she's too willing to spread someone's dirty laundry around to anyone who will listen.I mean, her teenage daughter didn't need to know,Roman didn't need to know (at least not the semantics),Hope and Bo didn't really need to know (although I'm guessing after seeing the picture they would have asked). She needs to figure out a middle ground, which situations call for being quiet and which situations call for her to spill everything.IMO all this is going to do is embarass Carly more and that's definitely NOT what Carly needs at this point.

Well, I agree to a point.
However, they did ask, and she did go to the police for help. It's one thing to go to them and say "I need help finding her but I'm not going to tell you why she developed a drug habit". Esp. since there was a history there.
Jenn has a history with Bo/Hope/Roman, and trusts them like family. Carly also has a history.
So, I can see your point about not saying anything, but I think the bigger issue is intervention and to find Carly to do right by her now.

I think that if Jennifer needed to discuss it with the police she could have spoken with her cousin Hope privately. It didn't need to be discussed in the middle of the police station. I really don't think it has anything to do with finding Carly so why discuss it. I can't think Daniel was too thrilled with the conversation either.

That's exactly what I was trying to say fluffy.I just think she could have said "with everything that's gone on in the last...(however long it's been)Carly became completely overwhelmed".There was a more diplomatic way for Jenn to answer Hope and Roman's questions without saying "Oh she did this because she's in love with Daniel" or whatever the heck it was she said.

I know Jennifer is close with her cousin Hope, but Hope is the person that Bo chose over Carly, so I think it was particularly embarrassing for Carly to have both Bo and Hope know that Carly was rebuffed by yet another man. Even though some of it is self-inflicted, she has been humiliated enough.

Carly didn't want Daniel to know about it let alone Bo, Hope and Roman. She will be mortified if she finds out.

That's exactly it.While I get that she has to answer the police's questions in order to find Carly, she didn't need to open her big mouth like that.ESPECIALLY not with Bo and Hope there.Carly is already humiliated enough. When she realizes both Bo AND Hope now know about her drug problem,Jenn will have only made things worse and furthered Carly's humiliation.

Jennifer kept quiet about the drug problem for so long but can't quit talking about Carly's love for Daniel. Maybe if she'd talked to Daniel about the drugs it wouldn't have gone so far down this road.

Jenn's sense of friendship and what's right and wrong seems to be pretty skewed this time around.
