Okay, the serial killer storyline doesn't start until late August but that's really not that far away now. SO, I thought it might be fun to start a thread to post about who you think the killer is or who you want them to be, how or why this starts and who you think gets done in or who you want done in. Also, post any clue, spoilers or hints you see about it.
I know it all wraps up and in November.
For me, I was just wondering if the killer might turn out to be Ava. Everyone else coming back seems to make much more sense to me. But why her?

I'm thinking Andre is going to be involved with the killings somehow.
I'm thinking with the net closing around Clyde and Stefano being determined to take Abby away from Ben, there's going to be a showdown between Clyde/Aiden and Stefano/Ben and somehow that's going to result in some deaths.
But here's my preferred theory.
I know from spoilers Eve is going to try to blow JJ's cover because her stupid grudge. So what "id really like to see happen is for Kyle to turn against JJ, maybe try to kidnap him and take him to Clyde to be dealt with or something, and Paige, realizing JJ is in serious danger, gives up her anger and deliberately gets in the line of fire and is killed instead, causing Eve to be yet another person against Clyde. Maybe Paige's father returns for her funeral and tries to kill Clyde and at the same time Stefano takes advantage of a schism between Abby/Ben (because Ben takes his father's side and Abby realizes that Clyde could have killed JJ) to get Abby and Chad together, resulting in a Clyde/Stefano showdown.

Your mention of Eve reminded me of the fantasies she was having about killing Jennifer. That was pretty crazy. Maybe it's forshadowing that Eve is about to really lose it.

Yeah, that was really disturbing, as is her (I'm guessing from the way the spoiler is worded) seeming lack of concern that JJ could get killed by her revealing his secret. I am really wondering how far she will go.

I thought I read that Ava wasn't returning until December.
Xander is falling apart and seemingly has nothing left to lose so he could be the killer. Although he may be too obvious of a suspect.
We should to put together a list of who is returning and when.

wendylou, great thread idea! heroicmuse, that is not just a speculation, that's a new fanfic! fluffysmom, I think you are onto something about Xander. My speculation. I can see Xander planting a bomb, targeting Victor, Maggie, Daniel, Brady, Tate, Sonny, Nicole, Eric, and Serena. Sonny and Serena will die. The others will be injured. Still others will get caught in the crossfire and die: Clyde, Paige, Aiden.

They usually just show a gloved hand or something for a while. Steve and Joey return this month but I don't think either of them will be the killer. |

They usually just show a gloved hand or something for a while. Steve and Joey return this month but I don't think either of them will be the killer. That's true wendylou. We may not see the murderer onscreen for awhile. |

Okay, some of the latest spoilers have me wondering if the killer is Chad - or at least it is made to look like it's Chad. In the spoilers for the week of Aug. 24 there is a spoiler that says "Chad and Serena's night takes an unpleasant turn" and I saw something somewhere else about him blacking out or something. We know she's leaving soon (thank goodness!) maybe she is the first victim.
How weird though since they've never before had any interactions.

It would be too easy and predictable to have Chad be the killer off the bat. I think he might be just set up to be the killer and everyone's going to think that he may be involved.

I imagine whoever the killer is, it will be a short-timer, not a star. Xander or Clyde make the most sense at this moment. Ava's father has mob connections too.

Looks like Xander will be in jail during the murder spree. Otherwise, he would seem like the most obvious killer, with Serena being the first victim.

It looks like Clyde may be involved with her murder. Or at least he could frame Chad. Do we know for sure that all of the murders will be committed by the same person?
