With Steve and Kayla's son, Joey Johnson, SORASed and all grown up being played by James Lastovic I wonder if anyone knows when Joey's first airdate is supposed to be? Because we are already in August and they said he was supposed to show up sometime in August but exactly when?

On August 3, Jason47 said "JUST THREE WEEKS UNTIL STEVE & JOEY RETURN!" and that "KAYLA, STEVE & JOEY BACK ON CONTRACT THIS MONTH!"
I can't wait to see Stephen Nicholas again! It's been so long since we've seen Steve and Kayla on screen together.

What's weird is that about a month or so ago, when Ben put the tracking app on Abigail's phone at a table in the Pub, Abby excused herself to go say hi to Joey in the kitchen.

I think they've had Kayla mention Joey before. I guess we are supposed to assume he's around but not seen. We will actually start to see him around the time Steve returns.

They also mentioned Steve recently too when JJ said something like when he's in a pinch he knows to call Uncle Steve.
Joey does get some references, but most often it's been grouped in with the other kids that Caroline is baby-sitting.

From what I read, Joey has run away (probably due to lack of story and attention) and Steve finds him and brings him home. Lack of story ... lol ... great reason to run away! Can't blame him for lack of attention. Kayla is busy giving pregnancy and paternity tests to Abigail and thus Joey is stuck with Caroline. |

But even so Joey he has other family to lean on especially if his parents can't be there I mean he's a Brady and a Johnson for Christ sake he has his Uncle Roman, his cousin Theresa, his little cousin Tate, his cousin Eric the former priest, his Grandma Caroline, his Aunt Hope, his Aunt Jennifer, his cousins Abby, Will, Sonny, JJ a whole slew of family

But he's been a very young kid for the past 5 years or so and only seen at Christmas (and I think last year all we saw was Kayla standing with him a few times, right?), so we really have no clue if he's close to any of those people. There have barely been mentions of Joey other than that the "kids" are with Caroline. So we don't yet know who he is close with or who he likes/trusts. That's why I'm excited for his entrance with Steve. I can't wait to see Kayla, Joey, and Steve and how Steve and Joey are integrated into Salem!

But also at least from what I hear, Joey isn't he supposed to have daddy issues because of his father Steve? Because it would be understandable I mean his father Steve is never there Steve is always off saving the world never mind the fact that he can't stick around long enough to be a father to him

They labeled a police or FBI phone number as Uncle Steve in case Kyle checks JJ's phone. |

But JJ his Uncle Steve is an ISA agent or was I don't know if he still is but at the same time if anyone could help JJ with this undercover thing it is his uncle, his father Jack's brother

They could have brought Steve in rather than this Agent guy we've seen lately (Is his name Watts? I could care less about the guy so I don't remember his name). They didn't because they had no interest in putting on the air what the viewers actually wanted to see and bringing on characters we love rather than horrid newbies to clutter up the screen. The new stuff stars airing in like 2 weeks and Steve is back with an aged Joey. We can't really surmise anything from the past until the writers tell us what is going on. I'm just glad that Higley and Griffin were smart enough to bring Steve age, and put the Johnson family on contract. |

Yes but even so Joey I wonder who they can pair him up with? I mean in the new age teen scene Joey is related to Claire since Shawn & Belle's daughter is coming back and Joey and Claire are cousins since Claire's father Shawn is Joey's cousin since Joey his mom Kayla and Shawn's dad Bo are siblings and Joey is related to Ciara especially since we know she is also being SORASed, Joey is supposed to be in high-school but if Joey were like the same age as JJ then I would have suggested a Joey, Paige and JJ triangle with Paige going after Joey as a way to stick it to JJ for cheating on her with her mother Eve
