Chapter 18a
Titan Media occupied two floors of the Tishman Speyer building downtown on Randolph Street. The 15th floor was where the creative teams worked and where the daycare center was located. One flight up on 16 was the executive offices and conference rooms. The two levels were connected by an internal spiral staircase that the employees used to travel from 15 to 16 and vice versa without needing to use the public elevators. Each floor had its own reception area.
Chloe was about to go to her meeting when her office phone buzzed. Linda, the receptionist, said there’s a man here who says he needs to talk to her. Chloe suggested he leave a business card and she’d contact him later, but according to Linda, she already tried that. The man wouldn’t take no for an answer and he wouldn’t leave. Seemed like an odd way to conduct business.
Chloe asked Linda if she should call security, but Linda said she didn’t think so. So Chloe shrugged and figured there’s only one way to find out what he wants so she headed to the reception area wondering who it was that needed to see her right away.
When she got to the reception area, she immediately stopped in her tracks. “You have got to be kidding me!”
Grant put on a huge smile. “Don’t be mad at me, Chloe. My coworker saw your badge with your name and company and I just had to take a chance. I mean, couples meet in crazier ways than this, right?”

I'm surprised Chloe didn't assume it was Philip when she heard a man was insisting on seeing her. I hope she rips Grant a new one about bothering her.

Thanks everyone for your continued interest, readership and comments! I didn't expect you all to have that reaction to Grant. Poor guy doesn't know Chloe's relationship status. Can't blame him for trying.
