Sure hope these three months fly by for them but once it does then the sex will be that much better for them having to wait!

I like Dr. Richards' idea. I somehow think that not being allowed to have sex is going to drive the passion level way up until they can't help themselves, but that's beside the point. She's absolutely correct that they need to build trust and intimacy before they go there.

Ooh, I can't wait to see where this goes! Philip and Chloe starting over from the beginning!
I love Dr. Richards!

That definitely wasn't what Philip and Chloe wanted to hear. I'm glad that Dr. Richards is giving them a plan.

Chapter 11a
Philip drove Chloe back to the condo. He wrestled with himself about whether to come up, after being read the riot act by Dr. Abstinence, but hell, his kid lived there. Of course he had to come up!
After Clarice, the nanny left, Philip sat down with Parker in his room and had a heart to heart. Parker was in his PJs and Philip sat on the bed with his son.
“You mads at me Daddy?” Parker pouted.
“You mean because you hit your grandmother? Not mad, just disappointed in you.”
“Sowwy.” Parker started to put his thumb in his mouth but his father’s raised eyebrows caused him to rethink that move.
“Look Parker, hitting people is the reason you can’t play with your friends in play group and in day care anymore. You want to have friends, don’t you?”
Parker nodded.
“Well, you’re not gonna have any if you keep hitting people,” Philip said. Parker looked downward and Philip could see he was on the verge of crying. He knew he sounded harsh, but Parker needed to hear it. He touched Parker’s chin. “You know, when you hit people, it reflects badly on me and your mother too. People think we’ve done something wrong, that we’re bad parents. Do you want people to think that?”
“Yes.”

I think Philip may be changing his tune about "Dr. Abstinence" about now ... sounds like they need a little help with Parker!

Chapter 11b
“When you hit people, it reflects badly on me and your mother too,” Philip explained to Parker. “People think we’ve done something wrong, that we’re bad parents. Do you want people to think that?”
“Yes.”
Philip recoiled. “Yes??”
“I mean no,” Parker backpedalled.
Philip sighed. This was the first time it occurred to Philip that Parker was angry with his parents for breaking up the family, the same way Philip was angry at Chloe for what she put them through. Parker had been taking out his anger on the wrong people.
Philip swallowed the lump in his throat. “You’ve had a rough year, Parker, and I’m sorry about that.” He took a deep breath. “But that doesn’t change the fact that you can’t hit people.”
“But Gramma says bad things about you, Daddy.”
“I know. I know that, Parker. And just between us, there’ve been plenty of times when I’ve wanted to hit her too, but I never did. Not even once. Not even when she said bad things about my daddy. I demonstrated what’s known as discipline. Self-control. You need to do that too Parker. You need to learn to control your impulses.”
“Huh?”
Philip looked upward, searching for the right way to explain it. “Your impulses. You know — your urges. Your … your feelings. Just because you feel like hitting someone doesn’t mean it’s okay to do it. You need to stop yourself, and not give in to everything you want to do. You may be a little kid, but you’re old enough to know right from wrong. And you’re smart, Parker, very smart. You figured out what your Spanish and Chinese friends were saying in a foreign language, so I’m pretty sure you get what I’m telling you in English.”
Parker grew pensive as he scratched at the pattern on his bed sheet with his fingernails. “Why is she so mean?”
Philip stifled a laugh. “Good question. And I don’t really know the answer. But I do know that your grandmother loves you. And she loves your mommy. A lot.”
Lifting his head to look at Philip, Parker innocently asked, “What about you? Don’t she love you?”
Philip wasn’t prepared for that question, but he answered honestly. He rubbed his forehead. “Uh. No. I’m fairly certain she doesn’t. But that’s not important.” Sighing, he said, “Look Parker, in the future, if anyone says anything bad about me or your mom — or anyone for that matter — and you want to defend us, that’s great. But do it without hitting or punching or kicking or pinching. Okay? Do it with words.”
“Words?? Um. How?”
“Okay. Hmmm.” Philip paused to consider his answer. “Here. You could say something like, um, ‘I’m sorry you feel that way, but you’re wrong, and I would appreciate it if you didn’t insult the people I care about.’ How does that sound?”
“Too long.”
Philip chuckled and ruffled Parker’s hair. “Okay then. Just tell them you’re sorry they feel that way, but they’re wrong. Can you remember that? Say it with me. I’m sorry you feel that way, but you’re wrong.”
Parker nodded. “Sowwy you feel that way, but you’re wrong.”
“Good!”
“Sowwy you feel that way, but you’re wrong. … Sowwy you feel that way, but you’re wrong,” Parker repeated. “… Sowwy you feel that way, but you’re wrong.”
Philip gently pushed Parker back on his pillow. “You keep memorizing that, okay? I’m gonna get going. See you tomorrow, big guy. Sleep tight.” Philip kissed Parker’s forehead and left the room as Parker continued to repeat his new mantra.

I have a funny feeling that Parker's going to use this new phrase of his when he doesn't get his way at daycare!
"Parker, I need you to sit down for storytime, please." "I'm sorry you feel that way but you're wrong, Miss Amanda."

LOL melly. I have a feeling like that too. I think Parker will use it next time he's told to go to his room or eat his vegetables! Great chapter Kpatch. I love Philip and Parker's relationship.
