  looks like Days has found there new phillp..i so wish they could of got back jay keneth johnson i love him, he was awesome as phillip. but ive seen john paul on oltl as Rex and he is good. heres a video clip below. I'm glad that Philip is coming back, even if he is played by a different actor. It'll be nice to have him back in Salem!

We need Philip in Salem. I wish JKJ were interested in being on the show, because he just IS Philip to me, but given his general disinterest in Days (he barely made it through his last contract and bolted the second he could), I'm happy to give a recast a chance.

I feel the same. JKJ is Philip to me but I am open to the character being recast. As an OLTL fan, I love the actor but I'm not sure I can see him as anyone other than Rex. But I look at Kassie and see Eve, not Blair Cramer, so it is possible to win me over! |

Ok well I used to watch OLTL and I know his work...I actually liked Rex before they put him with Gigi (aka Farah Fath) and I had to stop watching him because of her. HOWEVER...I'm not sure about him as Philip. My fantasy recast was Billy Miller. He's the only one I could see doing the part justice.
BUT I have been whining/tweeting/emailing about needing Philip back for years and I've said repeatedly that would be the only way I'd return to watching the show. So come December, I'm holding myself to that.
He's not tall enough for Chloe - he's about the same height as Shawn/Daniel. He'll probably be cute with Martha though...maybe I'll get some Phelle.

i loved that storyline too..Adrianna crammer was a very good charater..tell the writers decided to make her like Dorian lol then she did evil things but ya Gigi came back into Rex life then everything changed and so did Adriana.

Still to this day I can't hear the name Gigi without rolling my eyes. I really hated her character. I'm not sure if it was because I loathed Mimi too or just because Gigi was intolerable to me. Either way...I didn't like Rex and Adrianna ended for her. |

Wow, I don't know what to think. I definitely wanted Philip back but I was hoping for JKJ. Guess he is just done with Days. I don't this actor's work so I will have to wait and see. The only thing I know him from is that E reality show, I think it was called Dirty Soaps or something??? He was dating Farah at the time. He was kind of a goofball in real life.
So...wonder what his storyline will be? With Shawn and Belle coming back could he be involved with her again.
I haven't heard that Chloe/Nadia is coming back for more than a couple days but it would be weird if she came back to be with this Philip since Nadia and Farah are friends. That kind of stuff has to get awkward.
Definite bummed that Jay isn't coming back.

Try disinterest in acting. I knew he would never come back to Days. They did him dirty two times in a row. Can't blame him one bit. He will find something bigger & better then Days. He always said he didn't want to be pinned down to just one character. Sometimes it's hard for soap actors to find work outside of soaps bc people only see them playing that one character on a soap. I wish Jay nothing but luck & I hope & pray he is working on other things that he is interested in like his music!  |
