The fabulous, wonderful Jason47 had the following on his Facebook page:
COUNTDOWN NOW AT FINAL SIX WEEKS: 30 EPISODES OR SO UNTIL THE NEW HEAD WRITERS DEBUT!!
"Days" fans, there's only 30 or so more episodes left to air until the new head writers debut the week of August 17, and the focus begins to shift from all of the recent newbies to those characters fans have known and loved for many years. Mark your calendars now...the new "Days" is almost here!
(I can never remember how to post links and I'm too lazy to go read the help section. Sorry for not having a link, but I'd imagine everyone knows how to do a Google search for Jason47's FB page and info-packed website!)

Its sad in a way that I'm wishing away my summer vacation, which ends a week after the new writers debut. That's how much I can't wait for the regime change to go into effect. Thanks for the info unavitasegreta!

Thanks for the info unavitasegreta! I feel the same way, lol! I want it to hurry up and get here and then I realize "wait, I don't want summer to be over that fast!" But these shows and storylines are so, so bad. And the characters they're focusing on are boring, uninteresting, and pointless. I love the veteran characters from who they were before Tomlin/Whitesell, thus I can keep watching - but it's really hard to keep tuning in right now knowing what we are seeing is pointless, poorly written crap. But it's almost over!!

Lol knowing we're almost there is helping me hold on when its a particularly bad episode. That and trying to guess how the new writers are going to fix this mess.

Well they're not characters I want to see. Ive watched Days for over 40 years but I'll be quitting watching when the new writers work debuts. Ken Corday doesn't want me as a viewer so I'll finally say goodbye to Days.
