I want to be excited and happy for Nicole, but she's the town scapegoat and punching bag. I just don't believe that Daniel or Eric will be nice to her for long. I don't care who she marries, but I really want Nicole to get some happiness for a while. If Sami Brady and Theresa Donovan can be allowed to have kids, why can't Nicole? She's been on the show for years and years. So I suppose I better enjoy this however long it lasts.
Higley did write some good stories for Nicole during her run. Ari was certainly front and center in a lot of stories. Who had her lose the last baby? Was that still Higley or had Tomlin/Whitesell taken over then?

I want Nicole to be happy too, but it seems like it's way too soon for a proposal. They need to have a normal life/relationship for a while. I think this is springing from Daniel's guilt over doubting Nicole and the fact she almost died.

As much as I love Daniel/Nicole I would like to see them go more slowly and build a solid relationship first. I'd also like to not have this secret in the middle of their relationship. I don't want this to be another Nicole sabotages her relationship story.

Then he's going to find out she and Eric kept this big, huge, major, unforgivable secret (that literally seems to be that he's in love with her but she is committed to Daniel and no betrayal happened on her part) and will dump her. But by then Eric will have moved on and found his new love of his life. And Nicole will be alone again. See where my mind goes? There's a pattern where Nicole is concerned. No one loves her for very long. So if she gets a few weeks of happiness, I guess I need to take what I can get! |

For months he didn't trust her, now he suddenly wants to spend of the rest of this life with her. That sounds like a knee-jerk reaction and one that could just as easily be reversed. In the beginning I thought their relationship had a lot of potential because they were friends but it seemed like the moment they got together, Daniel began judging her. I'll be surprised if that changes long term. |
