Less than 2 weeks away if you can believe it.
Anyone have plans for the holiday? Going somewhere to watch fireworks?

I don't have plans yet. It will be the first time in awhile that we've been home for the 4th. Usually we are out of town.

We usually do a cookout with a friend and her family and set off our own fireworks...the joys of living in the county and not city limits. We're actually going to probably go to a place in Texas to get our fireworks after Ava's t-ball games Tuesday because we wont' be too far away.

We are both off next Friday, which doesn't always happen. We'll grill something, preferably lamb chops.

We are going to a parade in the morning with friends. In the late afternoon we are going to a 4th of July party and cookout that will last until late.
I hope everyone has a fun 4th of July.

We had a great day. The parade was a good way to start the day. The cookout and fireworks celebration was a lot of fun. We were out in the country and shot off so many fireworks.

Stormed while grilling food, but cleared out and was a great night for fireworks. The girls had Princess Swords which were basically bigger sparklers with a sword handle. They loved them. The guys got to go out and blow up the big stuff. Our finale had a few stutters with the fuse not lighting in certain spots, but it still was really good.
