In honor of Mother's Day -- what is the best advice your mother gave you?
Mine - Don't wish your life away Don't worry about what others think -- do what you want. Smile, smile, smile -- This used to drive me crazy when I was a teenager. I don't have a naturally smiley face so I guess I look grumpy when I am not.

You catch more flies with honey than vinegar. Kill them with kindness

When my sister and I were kids, my mom:s response to "<name> started it!" Was *but you dont have to finish it." That's stuck with me my whole life.

One of the things my mom used to tell me, (and she still does), is that "yes you can and yes you will." In her mind the word "can't" doesn't exist and basically you can do anything you set your mind too.

My mother used to say to me - study hard, learn a lot so you can grow up to make good money to take care of me in my old age.

"Do as I say not as I do"
"if everyone jumped off a cliff, would you do it?"
"two wrongs don't make a right, turn the other cheek because and eye for an eye would leave the world blind"
