DAYTIME EMMY NOMINEE CAMILA BANUS ANNOUNCED AS NEXT "DAYS" RETURN...
The newest issue of Soap Opera Digest has confirmed that Camila Banus (Gabi) will be returning to "Days" later this year. Banus is the third former cast member announced to be returning for the 50th anniversary, joining Stephen Nichols (Steve) and Peter Reckell (Bo). Like Nichols and Reckell, there's no word yet on how long her return will last. Banus is nominated for Younger Actress at the Daytime Emmys this year, and the award will be handed out this Sunday evening, April 26. "Days" fans are hoping for more returns to be announced over the coming months.

I hope Gabi gets out of prison and leaves town with Somny to raise Ari far away from Will. Even a recent parolee would be a better parent than Will!
I am glad we will get to see Camila again. When she wasn't being 'guided' by Kate and Sami I liked Gabi a lot!

I'm glad Camila is coming back. I hope on her first day back she has an Emmy for show and tell. That would be great, wouldn't it? But part of me wonders if she's already taped her appearance. We didn't know she was back for Christmas until right before she aired. |

According to SOD, Alison Sweeney is now confirmed to be returning for the 50th. She starts taping May 6. No details on how long yet.

Oh please oh please oh please oh PLEASE let it be a very short term return! It's been so great to have a break from the Sami Brady Show! I don't want it to end yet. I know one day she'll be back permanently, but I hope it's not time for that yet.
The article mentioned how difficult it was to schedule her return. That makes me think she's too busy and this is a short visit. But I won't get my hopes up.

I don't see her returning long term right now. She is too busy for that. I'm not surprised she would return for a visit for the 50th anniversary.
