Just reported on Peggy McCay's FB page by the President of her fan club, who is also her niece I believe. I could get behind a Victor/Caroline love story!!!
Denise Kiel Smith with Peggy McCay

Good news for Peggy McCay fans! As I've stated, I'm president of her fan club and I try to keep her fans updated. I've been told that Peter Reckell is back to the studio working and will be in scenes in the near future. And more good news for Caroline Brady. You will find out she did not have alzheimer's but "something else". Victor still has feelings for her and will send his private plane to Peru to get meds for her from a private doctor. One more little scoop is Victor wants Hope back with Bo and Caroline agrees. Maggie tells Hope to drop Bo and marry Aiden. This will lead to friction. Will Victor be drawn to Caroline because of their shared son, Bo? Wouldn't it be great if Victor and Caroline got back together. She was the love of his life at one time. I don't want to see Maggie hurt but this would stir up a lot of interesting scenes. What do you think? Should Hope go back to Bo? Should Victor go back to Caroline? Lots to look forward to! Denise

I'm glad to see Peggy will be working more, but Caroline has consistently rebuffed Victor's interest in her over the years. Over and over again. He gave her every chance to be a couple and she always said Shawn was the only man for her. I like them where they are now in their relationship. She can still get to Victor unlike anyone else. And he respects and loves her. That's enough for me.
I wonder what "near future" means because she show is like 5-6 months ahead. So Bo will be airing by the end of summer or early fall, maybe?

I would be fine with Victor and Caroline getting closer. The show isn't doing anything with the Alzheimers story so I have no problem if her illness is something else. I just want Hope to listen to Maggie. I want Hope and Aiden to stay together and get married. The only way I want to see Hope with Bo is if she is pressured by everyone into going back to Bo when she really loves Aiden. Then Bo can leave town after Hope cheats on him.

Maggie and Victor are my favorite couple, and Hope and Aiden my second favorite, so I really am not happy with very much of this.

I second that heroicmuse! I am not pleased about where this seems to be heading. I suspect that Victor and Maggie will weather the storm, given Caroline's low episode count. As for Hope and Aiden, I'm not so sure. At this point Daniel Cosgrove is not certain whether he will be staying with the show after his contract is done in Sept. Thanks for posting stickywicket!

I hate hearing that. Does he not want to stay or does he think they will let him go since PR returned? If there's no Hope and Aiden then Ill quit watching. It will just make me hate Bo and Peter Reckell even more if Daniel is let go. Bo and Hope became stale years ago. I should have known it. Finally something I really love on the show and then Reckell and Dena Higley come back to screw it up. Very depressing.

I definitely don't want Hope and Aiden to end. I'm hoping this, including DC's uncertainty about his status is all just to build drama. We know PR is returning so there is going to be a storyline with Hope having to choose whether to forgive and take him back or stay with Aiden. That doesn't mean she will choose Bo. I personally have no interest in seeing Bo and Hope reunite. They bore me. I see a lot more possibility with Haiden.
As for Caroline, first of all, I HATE HATE HATE the idea of her Alzheimers being changed to another problem that is easily treatable. I get that this is a soap and that it's fantasy but I also want some relatable reality in my soap and that's what Caroline's Alzheimer's was. A lot of people have had to go through that with loved ones and it made some her scenes that much more poignant. Now Days is going to poo all over that and turn it into some stupid storyline where Victor waltzes in and uses his money and power to buy her a treatment made from unicorn blood or something? BLECH! Besides, Maggie and Victor can have enough drama without a silly triangle.
If this is a preview of Higley's work I'm worried.

When I first heard about the Alzheimers story I was excited to see it unfold. I knew Peggy would do an amazing job. We would get to see Caroline's loved ones deal with the illness as well. It should have been a great front burner story. Now the whole story and its potential is going to be wiped away and Victor can "fix" it with his money. I don't really have a problem with Victor and Caroline being drawn together temporarily over wanting Hope to reconcile with Bo, and this creating angst for Victor and Maggie. I want Maggie to find out about Victor putting out a hit on Clyde and that resulting in Sonny being stabbed.
I've been really hoping that PR's return is short term. Even though I hate the character I knew that at some time Bo would have to be dealt with. My dream scenario is after Bo returns that everyone assumes that Hope will go back to Bo and she gets pressure not just from Bo but Victor, Caroline, and Ciara. Hope is torn for a while but after learning she's pregnant she knows in her heart that she loves Aiden and wants to be with him. They make plans to marry and Bo takes a job with the ISA in Europe. This especially causes problems for Ciara who is used to getting what she wants. Haiden is the one thing that's keeping me watching Days. Without them (and DC) I won't be sticking around watching. I don't care what else they have planned for the 50th.

This does not make me happy!! I like Maggie with Victor I didn't at first but they grew on me and I think she makes him more human, I hate when show's "cure" people like that, it could of been a great storyline but they dropped it and now they are going too sweep it under the rug.. I really don't want Hope and Aiden to be ruined because Bo is coming back. I should be used too it by now every time I start liking a couple they are destroyed!!

And this is why I hate how far ahead they film. Judging from the reactions on this board, people have serious concerns about these ideas...if they've already been filmed its too late to change something that a lot of viewers are unhappy about.

I'm taking this all with a grain of salt. You know that whenever couples are happy, the writers need to come up with some drama for them. Hope and Aiden haven't suffered their drama quota yet. Of course, we rarely see enough of them for any drama to arise. I think the Caroline and Bo factor, if it plays out the way the source said, will add a layer of meat to Maggie and Victor's story. And more screentime for Maggie and Victor is a good thing. I love that they remain front-burner after all this time.

A lot of their episode guarantees were episode guarantees were used in February and they've been between storylines. I think that's changing soon. I know they haven't had their quota of drama. Note even close. I've watched soaps long enough to know that couples need angst and conflict for story. And goodness knows Bo's return would cause that. I think what was so upsetting to me was dukeblue news that Daniel wasn't sure if he would still be there after his contract expires. He seems very happy at Days so that has me afraid of the show firing him in order to keep Peter Reckell and reunite Bo and Hope. Daniel seems very happy at Days and he and Kristian both seem to love their storyline together. I've been hoping that Bo's return will be a just a few months for the 50th and then he'll be gone.

tawny411, maybe Daniel saying he isn't sure he'll re-sign is a negotiating tactic.

tawny411, maybe Daniel saying he isn't sure he'll re-sign is a negotiating tactic. Could be. I think ever since I heard Dena Higley and then Reckell were returning I've been concerned for the worse. I've been so incredibly happy seeing Hope in a story without Bo. And she and Aiden have such wonderful chemistry. I hate the thought of the show going backwards again.
