   FREDDIE SMITH EXITS DAYS By SOD • Posted: Apr 3, 2015 Freddie Smith (Sonny, DAYS) has wrapped his run in Salem, according to a report on serialscoop.com. Multiple sources confirm to Digest that the Emmy-nominated actor — who first aired in June, 2011 — opted to leave the soap. With the show’s production schedule, expect him to be on the air for the next five months. maybee Sonny leaves Salem with paul! but i doubt it cause of Ari. so he will probably be recast. i wonder who could fit into Sonnys Shoes! thats sad news cause if anyone should leave its Guy Wilson..and the charater of Will send him packing not Sonny! |

Thanks for the info John_and_Marlena_Fan. I am seriously bummed. Freddie lights up the screen and he's one of the most likeable characters/actors on the show right now. |

he sure is kpatch..it will be sad to see him go around Sept. he will miss the shows 50th bummer. i think they plan to recast Sonny.

Omigosh! What sad news. He's a great actor and I'm loving his storyline right now. I'd kind of like them to recast since I love the character but I wonder if the new actor would have such great chemistry with Paul.
Wonder if this has anything to do with his personal life or if it's just a career move.

Thanks for the info. hi wendy..its not cause of his personal life i dont think. cause he went back to Ohio and got probation and a big fine for his DUI. so i dont think it has anything to do with that  i just think he wants to leave on his own accord. thats why i think the show will recast Sonny. i just hope whoever they get has great chemisry with paul..i know Will is his husband lol but i hate that charater lol to much like Sammie brady. |

I just wish all the good actors would quit leaving like Phillip, EJ, Melanie, & Chloe. It's just so dang frustrating......

Thats exactly where I saw it. I asked Molly if she was leaving and she said no but I guess she couldn't confirm it then. It just really sucks. I was hoping she would be back for longer but her & Freddie are so involved with Nerium & making a lot of money there, so that could be one reason they don't want to do Days anymore. |

I was hoping she would be back for longer but her & Freddie are so involved with Nerium & making a lot of money there, so that could be one reason they don't want to do Days anymore. I think it's a bit of a waste for her to be back just for this storyline. I would think her rivalry with Theresa would intensify if (as I suspect) Brady chooses Theresa over her once the baby is in the picture. I can think of plenty of things they could do with this character. What is Nerium? |
