...either fresh out of boarding school, or some kind of extended summer camp, come DAYS 50th. Coinciding with both Patch and Bo's returns, and the show looking to cast a rebellious teen Joey with daddy issues. (And perhaps even Theo) Who better, with her own daddy issues no doubt, than Joey's estranged hellion Brady cousin Ciara Alice Brady! Perfect excuse to finally get them to interact and share scenes with each other! Teaming up to lash out at their absentee fathers all the while bonding over their issues.
I'd be willing to watch Bo's return for that!

MissFancyFace, I'm not crazy about the idea of sorasing Ciara at this point in time. I feel there is still much more story to tell for the current Haiden "family". If they choose to soras Joey then that is fine. There is no guarantee that he will have much storyline outside of Steve's return(which may be short term) so I don't see it necessary to age Ciara. I enjoy Lauren Boles and would hate to see her go.

I love Lauren Boles as Ciara too, but I find it very necessary to SORAS Hope's daughter. Teen Chase's debut can be saved 'til Christmas or sometime in 2016. Isn't it rather pointless to SORAS Joey into a teen if they don't plan on utilizing him beyond Steve's return? Why not keep Kayla's son as a child and bring back Steve some other way then?
It wasn't announced when baby Ciara was cast with a real human baby, same for when LB debuted as 4 year old Ciara. It just happened right out of the blue. Who's to say the same thing won't happen in this case?

I've never been a big fan of the teen scene on Days, so the sorasing of characters and whether it makes sense or not doesn't really affect me in any way.
I'm happy with the way things are right now and feel it is much better for Hope and Aiden's story to keep Ciara and Chase. Not particularly interested in seeing another rebellious teen story again. It's been played way too often on this show.

I've been thinking, if we don't get teen Ciara and Chase this year, it will most likely be next year or 2017. And here's what I think: After the show's 50th and Bo makes peace with Hope and Ciara for being gone so long. He leaves Salem but promises to drop by in person from time to time to check in on Ciara. But then word comes that Bo has been killed, Hope is devastated, cue heartbroken teen Ciara. But instead of consoling her mother and sharing in her grief, Ciara turns against her mother and lashes out at her (and Aiden) for staying with him and not taking Bo back. Teen Theo (assuming he's not "Elijah") and Chase empathize, both having lost one parent, and try to comfort Ciara but to no avail. So Hope manages to get Shawn-Douglas to finally come home for support, and to help his mother with his hellion sister. Shawn tries to get through to Ciara to have some compassion for their mom, who is also in mourning as much as they are. Ciara reluctantly sort of forgives her mom and Aiden, but not really. She carries bitterness and anger for a long time, causing her to act out in despicable ways and try to find love with shady boys/men. Ciara constantly butts heads with Shawn (for defending their mother), and Chase (for defending his father). Hope and Ciara's mother/daughter relationship becomes more and more volatile (kind of like Marlena and Sami). Ciara trashes her own mother and Aiden almost every chance she gets. To make matters worse, Hope becomes pregnant with Aiden's child (well, if Kristen is considered able to carry Thrady baby to term) and gives birth to a healthy baby girl. Ciara is hurt and jealous over her mother showering her baby sister with warmth and attention that she feels she is no longer getting much of from her mother. And then somewhere down the road, Bo could turn up alive, causing all kinds of drama and other issues.

I love it. We get Haiden as the main rooting couple. Bo being presumed dead would be the perfect catalyst to turn Ciara in to a teen hell raiser. I really want a Haiden baby girl. I know there's Kristian's age but I think shes actually a couple of years younger than Patricia Barry was when she played Addie and gave birth to Hope. They can just say that Hope is in her forties. Plus I think it would be a nice nod to history since Hope herself was a late in life baby. I think Ciara would consider a baby sister to be an unforgivable betrayal. Ciara would be the perfect, new young Sami, capable of getting into and causing all kinds of trouble. I kind of think we will get a SORASed Ciara and Chase next year. Add them to the newly aged Joey and Theo, age Sami's kids plus Joy Wesley and we would have a great new teen scene in Salem.

It may be a re-hash of Sami, but I could see Ciara trying to sell her new sibling! If we could forgive Sami for that, we can forgive Ciara. Plus she's way more likable than Sami anyway.
I think I've said it before, but my biggest overall disappointment is that by the time Ciara is 18 John Aniston/Victor will be too old or deceased. I'd love to see Ciara take over his empire. She'd kick Brady's lazy ass to the curb and be running Titan at 18 better than Brady at 40. And I think Ciara would have no problem with the less than legal dealings Victor has going on behind the scene. That girl is fierce.

I love Lauren Boles and I don't want them to age Ciara, but there's so much potential there for her as a teenager and given the nature of the soaps genre, who knows if DOOL will still be around when Lauren is 16. |

I don't want Ciara SORASed because I hate the idea of losing wonderful Lauren Boles. But...
The thought of aging Ciara eight or ten years, especially if they have her team up with cousin Sonny to run Titan, is a juicy idea.
