New writers/which characters do you think are in trouble? (Read 728 times)

I know when new writers take over shows they tend to kill certain storylines or back burn them or send new actors packing that are usually brought in by the old team.
So with that said the only new character I really want to see more of is Paul his mother Tori is only recurring but she is in town for how long? I don't know but hopefully she is here to introduce Paul's father which will give him ties to the show.

But other characters who I think are in trouble are: Jordan, John, Marlena, Lucas, Will and if they think about killing a child let's see it will probably be Ciara or Theo one of those 2 knowing JG's writing style from Y & R but also Higley her dislike for certain characters

I hope Ben and Paige are the first ones to go!

I think Ben is the character who adds the least to the show. I hope the new writers either put him in jail or have him run away to avoid jail.

I hope they keep Paul. He's the only newbie I'm really invested in.

Ben if he were to leave town too then it would make sense but where would that leave Abby in the romance department? Who could they pair Abby up with especially if Ben is no longer around?

As for Paige I actually do want to see her stick around but just as long as they keep that loser JJ away from her then that would make me happy because JJ is a loser

I don't think JJ is a loser at all, though he has emotional problems that need to be addressed. I'm still angry that when he broke the window, nobody called Marlena in for a consult. I liked JJ and Paige until Eve came to town and Paige completely changed into this wishy washy person who believed what anyone said to her, and I don't like the JJ/Eve storyline.

As for Abigail, I suspect she will drift back towards Chad eventually.

I think JJ is a loser because he cheated on Paige he had a good thing going with her and he completely ruins that by cheating on her with her own mother I mean who does that? It wasn't bad enough that he slept with Paige's mother once but he has done it again and again and personally I think Paige deserves better than JJ Deveraux, like father like son he is just like his father but worse if that is even possible

But as for Abby I can't see her with Chad again, that ship has already sailed I could see Abby with Rafe since Jordan is leaving town and if Ben ends up leaving too then why not a Rafe and Abby pairing? Or they could always have a Brady and Abby pairing

We'll have to agree to disagree on that one terry. JJ isn't going to Eve for pleasure. It's pretty obvious it's self-destructive behavior and it breaks my heart to see him so out of control and unable to stop himself.Not to mention that it started because of Eve purposely trying to destroy him psychologically after Jill sexually assaulted him thanks to Eve hiring her.

I do wish he would tell someone what was going on so he could get the help he needs to stop. I actually felt for a very long time that JJ deserves better than Paige because once Eve came into the picture, Paige turned into mini-Jen, always stalking JJ, accusing him of things, believing the worst about him and listening to everybody else's opinions.

And for who would do something like that? It's a soap. Julie is married for over 40 years to a man who was married to, and had a child with, her mother, so Paige and JJ getting past this someday is really not that unlikely.

Yeah you are right we are going to have to agree to disagree but honestly though other characters who I see as being in trouble considering Higley is back but also Josh Griffith is the new head writer and knowing what he did to Y & R when he was in charge over there knowing what he can do from his work I wouldn't be surprised if legacy characters at this point are in trouble
