I haven't seen the documentary. It'd probably make me cry if I can't even listen to the song without getting teary-eyed. I agree. Just hearing Gwnyth Paltrow's introduction and the song was sad enough. |

My sister and I saw Glen Campbell on his farewell tour. At that time he still had all the music in him. He would go off on tangents when talking but his children were there to support him.

What did everyone think overall? I was disappointed. There were some good moments like the opener and NPH coming out in his underwear. I liked a few of the song performances but it dragged on so long I thought it was self-indulgent. I want to see the big awards and not have to stay up all night to do it.
I liked some of the winners but I totally don't get Wes Anderson movies. I can't believe his movie won so much.
I think I'm done watching the Oscars for a while. I will just check out recaps the next day.

I was entertained by most of it. The best part for me was Lady Gaga's tribute. Julie Andrews hugging her was such a beautiful moment.
The red carpet interviews were very interesting. I don't know why I watch the show though. I rarely go see movies these days and don't recognize most of the people. I think I watch because it's kind of like a variety show. I sure miss Carol Burnett and the others.
