Just curious. Do you (and your family, if applicable) eat at the dinner table?

We usually eat in our family room altogether around a coffee table, not sure why but it seems to have just become the norm lately.

It's just me, and I eat on the run a lot. When I'm not in a rush, I do like to have what I think of as a civilized meal....but with two busy jobs, that doesn't happen much!

We eat at our kitchen table. Before we had kids we usually ate at the coffee table while watching TV.

For us it's sometimes. Sometimes we eat at the dining table. Other times, usually during the week when our schedules are different and more rushed, we eat in the living room watching TV.

We do. When we were kids for some reason we were all crammed into the kitchen. Now we eat at a larger table in the dining room. My sister currently has very little room so we have to eat at the table after the kids are done.

it's just my husband and I in our condo and Toronto you pay a lot for small amounts of space, we don't even have a dinner table we have a breakfast bar that we use for breakfast on weekends, if we both aren't working but on a week night we come home finish cooking and get cozy in our PJ's and put on our favorite programs

We eat on the run and never at the same time and it sucks. I think it is important to sit down and relax without distractions. This is also why I think relationships suffer. Dinner is where you can talk about the happenings of the day and be heard. If you are competing with the TV, half if not all of what you say gets lost. I get mad when he gets mad for me interrupting something he is watching. "We" should be more important than the TV

Whether we are home or traveling, we try to have a regular dinner, sitting at a table.
