Blake Berris deserves to win the Emmy. He was fantastic. Camilla Banus did some great work in her final weeks in Salem.

I think they need a separate category for kids? They shouldn't be in the same category as people in their early 20's.

Just thought I'd pass along some information I read regarding the Younger Actor/Actress category.
Apparently, this category includes those 25 and younger. This explains why both Freddie Smith(he didn't turn 26 until March '14) and Casey Moss are included.
Also, there was no voting process for this category. Anyone that submitted was included, which may explain a few of the pre-nominations.

Thanks for the info @dukeblue. It explains a lot.
I still think they should split the younger categories. Maybe 15 and under and then 16-24.

I completely agree with both for Lead Actress! During her exit storyline, Alison Sweeney was awesome! Her scenes with Caroline over the last year were amazing!
Daniel Cosgrove wouldn't be my first choice for Lead Actor, but he's better than some.
They are joking with that pre-nomination for Supporting Actress, right?
I actually would have put Eric Martsolf in the Lead Actor category, but that's just me. As much as I didn't like Nick, I do agree that Blake Berris was one of the better Supporting Actors this year.
Camila Banus is another one who's departure storyline was excellent! I just wish that more of her time onscreen was that good. I'm on the fence about True O'Brien. I like her as an actress, but I'm not sure she's done anything Emmy worthy yet. I adore Lauren Boles! Of the younger actresses, she's one of the better ones!
Yes to Casey Moss! So much yes! Freddie Smith has done some pretty good acting too, this year. While I like Chase, I don't know about the pre-nomination. I don't even recall seeing Theo this year. Could someone please remind me of when that was?
As for if anyone is missing, I'd say James Scott should be up there. Specifically, for that dream sequence episode. I'm not sure if that's too old to qualify, or if it's within bounds, but I'd still like to see James Scott at least nominated.
On the whole, I think this year's been kind of a mixed bag. There's been some good bits, and some bad. I'm looking forward to seeing the final nominations, as well as who actually wins a Daytime Emmy. Thanks for posting the list!

The nominees will be announced on March 26. I'm glad that the show will be back on TV this year.

I can not believe Jordan is in there at all, and once again Adrianne Zucker is left out. kinda confused why Freddie Smith is not in the supporting category but at least he is in.
