It doesn't seem like the two of them are ever home long enough to settle their disagreements. It must be confusing for Parker that most of the time only one of his parents is home. It seems like the three of them spent a lot more time together before the wedding.

So sad I understand where both Philip and Chloe are both coming from when it comes to Parker sleeping in their bed. But I'm kind of siding with Philip on this one, Parker may have been through a lot but he didn't need to continuously sleep in the bed with them to feel love and affection. Plus apart of me wanted to see some Phloe lovin. What I like about your story Kpatch is the fact that it's so real. A lot of couples go through the same arguments as Phloe. Great job can't wait to read more. But I gotta know are they ever gonna get back together? They're not really getting a divorce are they?

I feel like I'm watching this story play out! When Philip was expressing his thoughts about needing to tell Chloe that Parker shouldn't sleep in their bed, I kept thinking "Oh hell no. That isn't a good idea, pal. Not if you want to have sex with her ever again." They both have valid points, but Philip should have seen an argument coming on that one! These two just can't seem to get on the same page. I feel for both of them and Parker. Poor kid.

Chapter 12a
After giving up on TV, Philip aimlessly wandered from room to room of the Titan-owned apartment. No matter how many times he looked, there were no other people there. The space wasn’t magically going to be filled with family and he wasn’t going to feel any less lonely.
It was days like this that he felt like he was going to lose his mind. Days were endless and the nights were long; he tortured himself with the what-might-have-beens and retraced all the things he did wrong. Sometimes, he came up with a million things. Other times, it was hard for him to come up with even one. He felt like he bent over backwards to make Chloe happy — like when he realized Chloe was growing dissatisfied at work, he came up with an idea.
~~~~~~~ July 2014
“I’d like to speak to Claudia,” Philip said into his iPhone.
The receptionist asked Philip to hold, and while he waited to speak to Claudia Roseman, Chloe’s agent, Philip paced back and forth in the living room of the condo, anxious to get this thing wrapped up. He figured this would be the best gift Chloe ever got, a leading role in Aida with the Chicago Metropolitan Opera Company.
He always knew that DreamTunes wasn’t Chloe’s dream job, and figured that was the reason she seemed dispirited lately. He definitely wanted her to feel happy and fulfilled. So he started sending emails and demos and making calls on Chloe’s behalf because he knew she didn’t have time to do it herself; she’d been so busy trying to get DreamTunes on the map.
It was obvious that Chloe missed her art. She sang arias in the shower and listened to opera while she cooked dinner. Not long before, Philip stood in the doorway to Parker’s room, listening to Chloe singing “Summertime” from Porgy and Bess, the Gershwin opera, as Parker fell asleep.
Summertime, And the livin' is easy Catfish are jumpin' And the cotton is high Your daddy's rich And your mamma's good lookin' So hush little baby Don't you cry
As she finished the song, Chloe looked up and saw Philip watching her. He could tell she was slightly embarrassed and it didn’t take a genius to figure out that Chloe still wanted to perform. When she left Parker’s room, Philip caught her arm. “You miss it, don’t you sweetheart?”
He means well....but it probably would have been a good idea for him to ask her why she was down instead of jumping to conclusions.
