If so, what's your opinion on it? A few people at work have them (or something like them) and really like them. I wasn't sure I thought they were worth the money but I just weighed myself - you know, to start the new year right - and I need to get serious again. I'm thinking of using one of my gift cards and jumping on the bandwagon. Anything that helps.

OMG I swear I was just thinking the same thing. I was debating going to buy one, lol! A lot of people I work with have them too. They love them. I'd say at least 7-8 people wear them. Some cousins had them too. They all say how great it is that it syncs to your phone.

Yeah and of course today starts the sales on all things fitness. QVC is selling the Fitbit flex today for 89.00 plus s/h and I got an email from Target that they have the same one for $99, which isn't much worse since there's no shipping and you get it right away.
I got a $100 gift card to Target for Christmas or birthday. I'm thinking I may use it for this. A lot of the reviews I read were good too. I'm definitely into tracking and charts too so that might be kind of fun.

Like wendylou, I also saw it was today's special value on QVC, so to get lots of information about fitbit throughout the day, tune into QVC.

There are apparently different versions. One is like $59.99 and is just an activity tracker and another is a sleep + activity tracker for $69, then there's the $99 bracelet that tracks sleep and activity. Anybody have a suggestion on which to use? I like the clip-on that's $60, but does it do as good of a job as the wrist band?

I got a Fitbit flex on Friday evening and I really like it. At first I was a little worried, like, okay this thing tracks my steps, so what? But I got up Saturday, went running, took the dog for a walk and boom - I had gone over my 10,000 steps for the day already. I got little notices on my phone telling me I'd earned these little badges for each 5,000 steps I'd gone. It sounds funny, it actually did encourage me to keep pushing myself. On Sat. after I hit 10,000 I got close to 15,000 so I decided to get on my treadmill and walk until I hit it. During the work week it's been hard to hit that 10,000 each day but I'm kind of obsessed with it so a friend and I take breaks during the day and walk the stairs in our seven-floor building. Now tonight, I just got a notice that I earned my first marathon badge because I've logged 26 miles.
SO - my two cents: I like the fitbit and it is encouraging me to walk/run more.
