Curious about why you read fanfics? Is it for the journey or for the destination.
There are some stories that go unfinished and I wonder if readers care, or if they just enjoy reading, and how/when/whether a story ends is less important.

I enjoy both the journey and the destination. The journey is usually my favorite part.
I've read many unfinished stories. Sometimes it's more frustrating than other times. If I'm reading a story I start it with the expectation it will have an ending at some point.

For me, it's both. If I'm really enjoying the story, I can't wait to get to the destination, but the journey is more important.
It irks me when stories go unfinished.

I like both the journey and the destination too. If I like the journey, I wouldn't mind waiting for the destination. And yes I tend to get frustrated when stories go unfinished, especially when they get really good.
