Can someone please explain why Jennifer is foisting Parker on Daniel? Parker isn't hers to foist.
Jennifer seems to be filling Carly's role while she's on vacation or wherever she is. I love Jennifer; she's always been one of my favorite characters, but she's getting on my nerves. Bring back Jack.
When Daniel held Parker, the baby looked so small. What a sweet smilie baby. I hope that Parker isn't going to end up being Daniel's but today's scenes made me think that maybe that's going to be the outcome.

So that is what happened the last 10 minutes. My stupid NBC affiliate loves to break into the show with these dumb news updates... A fire in an abandoned building,, big whoop!!
DNA test!!! Again, I wonder why it hasn't been done again.

Maybe Jennifer will become the new "Maggie" Ha! JMO but Jennifer has always had a humanitarian way about her. I think she misses her own children and wants some normalcy for this little boy. Or... maybe she's channeling Alice..... forgive me if that was in bad taste.......

Not bad taste at all maruuac...Jen actually mentioned Alice when she was talking to Daniel. Something about holding on to the ones you love while you have them in your life.
I kinda liked these scenes but then again I like all Parker scenes! ;D Ya know patch, those writers do like to show scenes like this to keep us guessing whether they're going to go that route of changing the paternity.

Well, I believe there are two reason:
1. She has no one to meddle with (Abby isn't there yet) so she's meddling in Daniel's business.
OR
2. In a round about way, she's remembering that her Uncle Mickey did the same thing with his son Mike (raised someone else's son). I doubt they would ever mention it, but that KINDA works for me.

Jenn has always been a meddler. She's a romantic, and wants to see people she cares about happy. She is grateful to Daniel and sees that he could use a little love (gag) so she is trying to match him with Carly and have him realize that it's pretty much his choice to give up on Parker.
Oh, I totally love DancingDay's theory that she's channeling Mickey. That would make sense.
The great thing about Jenn is that she's a meddler but she does it in a caring way and for other people's happiness. Unlike Carly who thinks mostly about her needs, bullies people, and is like a pit bull with a pot roast.

I agreed with Daniel to give up Parker cold turkey...why continue a connection with a baby that will not be a part of your life....Daniel should have kept his distance.....

Unfortunately, we recognize that the writers are trying to force Daniel to bond with Parker, because we can see the future and we know that as soon as he's removed from the birth certificate, it's going to come out that Daniel is the actual father. Philip will be heartbroken and will leave town and we will be left with Dr. McNasty. *shiver* The only high point in all of this, is maybe those babies playing Parker will be around for a while (at least as long as they can still look like boys). They are so frakking adorable!!! ;D |

As much as I used to love Jenn in her first run on the show (back in mid 80s early 90s),I've really had a problem with the way she's been written since 2001.I get that she meddles,I get that she's a romantic who wants everyone and their brother to be happy,but she has NO business meddling in Daniel's life.One,she barely knows him,two,as far as we know,he's still MARRIED.So if it at first wasn't ok for Carly to be with Bo because he's still married to Hope (Jennifer admitted she didn't like it,but wouldn't judge),why all of a sudden is it ok for Daniel and Carly to be together?Hope that makes sense.Also,if Daniel isn't on the birth certificate anymore (I agree he WILL turn out to be Parker's bio dad,if only because we know Jay is leaving),then her assertion that Daniel still has Parker is very wrong,although I did like when she said "You can't even be in the same room with him...He never did anything to you!".The rest of her changing attitudes and mood swings are driving me nuts.Sorry to those who like her,and yes I do love Missy,but Jenn...not so much anymore.

It seems to be the norm when bringing back vets that they change them to fit the current storyline. I liked Jenn better before too. It felt weird when they were bantering back and forth in the hospital and I have wondered why Daniel is so animated with Jenn, even more so than Melanie. It's like they are old friends and it's kind of uncomfortable to watch those scenes knowing his history with his patients. And for the life of me I don't know why Jenn took it on herself to go be with Parker in the quiet room instead of taking him upstairs where Philip was since Philip wasn't receiving any treatment for hypothermia.   |

Actually, I like Jenn and think she is being true to character. She's spunky, nosy, and romantic. She's one of my favorite characters, and she's not too far off from Jenn past.
I don't think that Dr. Feelers (Daniel) is good enough for Jenn. She does have a way of making people talk and open up to her that other people don't. She always has. And, he could use a friend (not another love interest!)

I thought their scenes together were quite nice. I like Jennifer and Daniel's chemistry. Maybe I am alone in this, but I don't mind this pairing. I find them fun together! They are both different with each other then I have seen them with anyone else on the show!

I don't know if they're trying to recreate the bantering she used to have with Jack,but if that's what the goal is,it's a serious miss as far as I'm concerned.You're right Addicted,the scenes are awkward to watch.I try to avoid watching them as much as I can,which is unfortunate because as I said,as much as I don't like Jenn since 2001,I do love Missy.She's as adorable now as she was twenty years ago,lol.

I know she's a mini-Maggie and as much as I appreciate she is being true to her chracter in some ways, it doesn't feel right that she's got all this Daniel love and before she even really gets to know him, she's trying to hook him up with Carly AND Parker? I mean make up your mind, Jenn. If he's going to give into his Parker love that's not gonna be a good thing for moving on with Carly. She seems to be a bit all ove the place and it's making her look less like a meddling friend and more like a flake and that bugs me.

That's exactly what bugs me the most.Her all over the map behaviour.One minute she's being mean and rude,the next she's got "all this Daniel love"as you said,lol.As someone else said too though,Parker is not hers to foist on anyone.Daniel doesn't need to be close to a little guy he's going to have to legally give up (at least for now),so as far as I see it,while she's trying to do good,she's only setting him up to be hurt more.That's Jenn though,she has good intentions,but sometimes goes about things the wrong way,and it blows up in her face.
