We're having a BOY!!! Everything is perfectly healthy and fine with the little Sparky baby!! He didn't want to cooperate at first and was sort of sitting indian style crossing his legs but then the tech poked around a bit to get him to move and sure enough, plain as day, it's a boy!! It's so nice knowing now and makes things so much easier. Now the hubby and I got to get busy with getting the baby room ready. Luckily it's already painted blue. But we have to rip out the old carpet and clear everything out. Then we got to get furniture and stuff. But at least now it's narrowed down to boy so that eliminates half the stuff. Lol. Can't wait to register for gifts too! Knowing it's a boy makes that easier too. Ha! I suddenly feel like I have all this energy to start doing stuff! At least now we have a little more impetus to get going on it! Yay! Thanks everybody for all the thoughts and prayers during all this. It means a lot!

I am thrilled for you and your hubby Sparky!! It will be so much fun decorating and registering for gifts. The second trimester is when you actually have energy and feel good so I recommend getting things done now. Congratulations!! Time to start picking out names too.

Congratulations!!!! I'm so glad everyone is healthy and your baby boy cooperated. I'm with fluffy about time for names too ... it's a needy weird interest of mine but I love names and hearing what parents name / plan to name their baby. I'm also glad to hear you are feeling well, now just be sure not to overdo.

Yay! Congratulations!!! One of the things I loved to do when I had a son was dress him in little Hawaiian shirts. I'm so glad everything is healthy, and he finally cooperated. Names are also a fun obsession of mine. Do you have thoughts?

Baby boy Sparkster! So happy for you and his daddy. So for names ... Pick one of these: Philip, Brady, Lucas, Bo or Victor. You can't go wrong.

Thanks everybody!! Kevin and I are so excited! Well, he's REALLY excited about having a son!!! LOL. He's already imagining teaching him how to play baseball and golf. I told him it's going to be a little while before that can happen. Last night we celebrated by going to one of our favorite new places. It's called the B-Spot (how appropriate, since we're having a BOY! LOL! ). For those of you that watch Food Channel, it's a Michael Symon restaurant that specializes in burgers and beers. They have this burger there called the Lola Burger that is to die for!!! So good!! So anyway, we went there to celebrate then went to the mall for a bit. I bought a couple of onesies for the baby. It's so nice knowing what we're having. I have been hesitant about buying stuff since we didn't know before. Now I'll probably go into debt between now and Thanksgiving! Those of you asking about names, yes we have discussed a little bit but it's still an open issue. From the beginning we liked the name Riley (or Ryleigh for a girl) because it can work either way. And we will likely go with James for the middle name which is Kevin's dad's name. But like I said it's still not settled. Other names on the list are Landry and Jaxson (call him Jax for short) and yes, jkjpatch, even Brady! LOL.

I had considered Brady for my 2nd son, but then decided against it. I love the name but given that both myself & my husband's names start with a B and we named our first son Jacob, I couldn't let him be the outcast that way. We ended up naming him Ethan (Eric's role on Passions ;D, but don't tell my husband that's where it came from His middle name Lane fit b/c he was born right in the middle of the Daytona 500. I tell everyone I named him right b/c all I have to do is add an "H" to it and it fits. he can definately be my little Hethan.

I like all of those names Sparkster and they all work well with James as the middle name. I'm surprised by Landry - I've considered it myself because it is a family surname and a common one where I live but I didn't realize that it was well known elsewhere. I'm also partial to the idea of Jax as a nickname because of Jax from GH... though of course Brady has it's points too . All good choices.

Lol Ava was going to be Brady if she had even a boy. Even funnier, my husband and I have a really good friend whose name is Ryley and he has a 3 week old son named Jaxon. Lol. They call him Jax too.
Good luck with name choosing. Its a big decision! Love all your choices.

Great name choices Sparkster! Thanks for sharing. I know that some people are very secretive about names.
