Chapter 31


Upstairs in Ciara’s Bedroom

Bo: Hey little one, can I come in?
Ciara: Yeah, but in case you didn’t notice, I’m not so much a little one anymore.
Bo (sitting down on her bed): I certainly did notice. You’ve done a a lot of growing up.
Ciara: That’s what happens when you go away for two years.
Bo: It’s really hard to believe my little Ciara is growing up so fast.
Ciara: Did you come to tell me that you’re going away again?
Bo: Wow. You are one smart little girl. You’d make a good detective.
Ciara: Better than some of the ones at the Salem Police Department.
Bo: You got that right.
Ciara: When do you have to leave?
Bo: Well, I don’t have to leave. It’s just, well, your mom doesn’t want me to stay anymore.
Ciara: Oh sure, throw mom under the bus.
Bo (chuckling): You are definitely your mother’s daughter, and that’s a very good thing.
Ciara: Are you trying to flatter me?
Bo: Maybe. Do you mind?
Ciara: No I don’t mind. Flattery is good. So, where are you going to live?
Bo: Not sure. I was thinking maybe I’d live on the Fancy Face Five.
Ciara: Ooooh. The boat??
Bo: Yeah, maybe.
Ciara: Daddy, take me with you!


Horton House

Jennifer: So if you knew Jack was alive, why didn’t you call me, Daddy? You had to know what I’ve been going through.
Bill: Frankly, I have no idea what you’re going through, except that the love of your life who you believed was dead is now alive. That’s a gift.
Jennifer: Except for one thing.
Bill: What’s that?
Jennifer: Daniel.
Bill: Daniel Jonas?
Jennifer: Yes. He’s the latest love of my life.
Bill: I see.
Jennifer: Daddy, I’m so confused.
Bill: Hang on a sec. Someone is paging me.
Jennifer: Daniel and I have been on again and off again and on again and off again…
Bill: One sec, there’s a medical emergency. We’re having an ebola crisis here.

Bill: I’ve got to run, Jennifer Rose.
Jennifer: What?? But I’m not finished.
Bill: Bzzzzzz.

Chapter 32

Daniel’s Apartment

Jack: Listen, what happened with me and Kayla, there’s no excuse. But there are circumstances. You know we were married, right?
JJ: And that gave you the right to rape her?
Jack: No, that’s not what I’m saying. But … I had just learned that she was cheating on me. With my brother.
JJ: Seriously? With Uncle Patch?
Jack: Yes. And I had too much to drink that night and I came home and took my anger out on her.
JJ: I didn’t know all that.
Jack: Still doesn’t make it right.
JJ: Sure doesn’t.
Jack: But at least it gives you some context. I immediately regretted it and if you want to know the truth, it still haunts me. Every day of my life, it haunts me. I still feel like I deserve every bad thing that ever happens to me.
JJ: I know the feeling.
Jack: When your mom was pregnant with you, the doctors said you were going to have special needs, if you even survived. I remember thinking, yeah, I deserve that. But my child doesn’t. The day you were born in a cave on the top of a cliff, completely whole, completely healthy, I held you and I thought to myself, this is a miracle, and I don’t deserve it.
JJ looks downward.
Jack: JJ, I still think I don’t deserve a son like you and I don’t blame you if you don’t want me in your life. I just would hate to see you let the sins of your father haunt you for the rest of your life. You don’t deserve that.
Jack rises to his feet and slowly walked toward the door.
JJ: Dad, wait. Where are you going?
Jack: Home, I guess.
JJ: Wait, I’ll come with you.


Ciara’s Bedroom

Bo: Well, I’m not going away. I’ll just live on it. The boat will be moored at Salem Pier.
Ciara: I don’t care. I want to live on the houseboat with you.
Bo: Um.
Ciara: Please Daddy. Everyone else got to live on the boat. You. Mommy. Shawn, Belle and Claire. Carly.
Bo: How do you know about Carly?
Ciara: Grandpa Victor told me. I wanna live on the boat too.
Bo: Well I’m not sure.
Ciara: Why not?
Bo: I don’t think your mother would approve.
Ciara: Are you blaming Mom again??
Bo: No, little one, it’s just that …
Ciara: She wouldn’t let me go to Hollywood, but I think she might let me live on the boat.
Bo: Hmmm. You know what? … Why not. If your mom says it’s okay, then sure. You can come live with me.
Ciara jumps into Bo’s arms.
Ciara: Thank you Daddy. Thank you thank you.
Bo: But just for 6 months.
Ciara: Okay.
Bo: And you have to go to school, just like you do now.
Ciara: I’m gonna be too cool for school, living on a boat. I can’t wait to tell Chase.
Bo: Who’s Chase? Your boyfriend?
Ciara: Ew. No. He’s Mommy’s boyfriend’s son.


St. Luke’s

Teresa is in a pew at the back of the chapel listening to Father Louie’s Christmas sermon. A man sits down next to her.
Teresa: Daddy! What are you doing here?
Shane: I had a hunch I might find you here.
Teresa: It was you, wasn’t it? You got me the job here.
Shane: I only set up the interview. If you got the job, you got it on your own. … Did you? Did you get the job offer?
Teresa: Yes.
Shane: And did you accept?
Teresa: I did. Can you imagine me working in a place like this?
Shane: I can imagine you doing anything you set your mind to. I’m proud of you, darling.
Teresa: Thanks Daddy. For everything.
Shane: Merry Christmas, Jeannie.
Teresa: Merry Christmas, Daddy.
Shane puts his arm around Teresa’s and she leans her head on his shoulder.

Just caught up! Jennifer STILL thinks she the most important thing in everyone's life. Loved the honest conversation with Jacj and JJ. Hope that Ciera gets to stay on the boat with Bo!

Chapter 33


Salem Pier, A Couple Weeks Later

Bo lifts Ciara onto the boat.
Ciara: This is so great.
Bo: Now remember Ciara, it’s just for six months.
Ciara: Six months is a lifetime to an eight year old. Can I see my room?
Bo: It’s called “quarters” and you sure can. Be careful of the steps. And watch your head.
Ciara: I’m too short to hit my head on anything.
Bo: Oh that’s right, I forgot.
Ciara: When do we shut off.
Bo (chuckling): You mean shove off? Well, we don’t. We’re docked.
Ciara: Killjoy.
Bo (muttering to himself): I don’t know if I can handle six months of this. Then to Ciara Why don’t you go downstairs and find your room. Er … quarters.
Ciara heads downstairs and just as Bo is about to follow her, he hears someone on the dock call his name.
Hope: Brady! Bo Brady! Wait!
Bo: Hope?
Hope (saluting): Permission to come aboard, Captain.
Bo: Hope?!? Um. Yeah! Permission granted!
He grasps Hope’s hands and helps her onto the boat.
Bo: What are you doing here?
Hope: Meeting you halfway.
Bo smiles and takes Hope into his arms. They kiss.


Daniel’s Apartment

Jennifer: Daniel, I need to talk to you. It’s important.
Daniel: Ooookay. Come on in.
Jennifer: I’m ready to give you another chance.
Daniel: Oh you are, are you?
Jennifer: I am. I’ve been doing a lot of thinking and I decided that you’re not going to improve without me in your life. You need me.
Daniel: Hmmm. Interesting, especially because Jack is back.…
Jennifer: Jack has nothing to do with this. So, what do you say? Can we give us another try?
Sami comes out of Daniel’s bedroom wearing one of his plaid shirts, unbuttoned halfway down, no pants.
Sami: Oh. I didn’t know you had company, Doc. Hi Jenn.
Jennifer’s eyes bug out.
Jennifer: Sami Brady? Really?
Sami: It’s Sami Brady Reed Roberts Horton Walker Dimera Hernandez Dimera.
Jennifer: Daniel, you can’t be serious!
Daniel: Well, I wouldn’t say we’re serious yet, but we’re working on it.
Jennifer: Really Daniel?? How could you? How could you betray me like this?
Daniel: I didn’t betray you Jennifer. We were broken up.
Jennifer: No, we were just taking a break.
Daniel: Break. Break-up. Not much difference.
Jennifer: There’s a huge difference.
Sami: So Jenn, I heard Jack’s back. I’m so happy for your kids that they don’t have to be without their father, like mine do. But Doc here is an awesome father figure for them.
Jennifer: I know all about Daniel being a father figure to the children of Salem.
Sami: Tell me Jenn. Is it true that you tossed Jack aside, and now he’s dating Eve, his ex-wife?
Jennifer: None of your business. I’m here to talk to Daniel, not you.
Daniel: Look, I’m kind of busy here. Thanks for coming by, Jennifer, but next time, call first. Or better yet, don’t call me. I’ll call you. Or not.
He pushes Jennifer toward the door.
Sami: Bye Jennifer. Give my best to your slutty daughter.

THE MOST PERFECT ENDING. EVER! I was all happy for Bo/Hope then you you are about to reunite Dan & Jen and BAM Sami is back. Loved it!!
