I've been seriously thinking about cutting back on cable for a long time but I just can't make the jump. I know a lot of people are cutting cable now and I was just wondering how everyone watches TV. Do you have regular cable, dish, no cable but netflix, hulu? What? How do you like whatever you're doing?
Right now I just have basic cable (with something like 60 channels maybe. No HBO or anything like that). I'd like to cut it down to the next level which is only like 11 channels and then use netflix and/or hulu. I think that would be cheaper and work okay.

I have cable but no premium channels. The cable, telephone and internet is bundled together. I would really like to drop our landline phone and only have a cell phone but haven't quite convinced myself to do this yet.

I have the triple play too. Cable, internet and phone. I like the landline for safety reasons. My husband and kids watch a lot more of the cable channels than I do. I like it for the on-demand. I look at it as our entertainment budget since we rarely go to movies, plays or concerts.

I have Dish for TV, landline phone, and internet through my phone company. I can't get cell service at my house so I have the cheapest Tracphone just for emergencies when I am out and about. I used to have internet services through Dish but very expensive and limited usage. I am very happy with the internet service through the phone company.

I have the bundle also. I find I often watch TV on my ipad, using the app for my cable company. What would you do for TV if you didn't have cable wendylou?

When I was in law school, I was trying to cut down on useless expenses. I got rid of cable and made it for like 3 months. No, there is nothing on TV but I use it for background noise. I hadn't realized that the only channels I really watch were all stuff that I couldn't get online. I eventually went back to cable.

I just cut it down to about 20 channels yesterday. I will still have the networks. If there's something I really want to see on a network I don't have, like say, Mad Men on AMC, I guess I will get hulu plus to watch it. The only thing I haven't figured out is how to watch my Jayhawk basketball. I think there are ways to do that too.

I cut the cord completely over a year ago. I was disgusted with how much I was paying for what little bit I was watching. DOOL and Big Bang are the only two current shows I watch. I have been able to see them free on network websites and DOOL I can usually find on You-Tube unless the network is fighting each and every posting which is happening a lot more often. The only thing I pay for is NetFlix and that has plenty of stuff for me to watch at a decent price. I am OK with not seeing DOOL immediately although I really had to be on my toes to see it for the Roundtable this week. If you have NetFlix I have died laughing, at Frankie and Grace (expletives alert). I also liked Gotham if there are any Batman fans in our midst.

Since there is a company trolling You tube for NBC. I have been unable to watch DOOL there. I found a new spot though and so far it is reliable. www.dailymotion.com/us
