Two characters are headed for Salem! 1) A character named Mandrake will debut on October 30th and appear in 9 episodes during November Sweeps. The character is described as being "threatening, dangerous and professional looking". The role will be played by Sal Landi.  2) A principal character named Meredith will debut in February 2015. She is described as a "stunning and fragile woman with a troubled soul". The role will be played by Julie Tolivar.  |

Mandrake sounds like a goon of some kind. Merdith? I wonder if she's Rafe's late fiance using a different name. Or maybe she's Aiden's "late" wife.

A "troubled soul" would seem fitting for Aiden's wife. Has he said she's dead? I know being dead on a soap means nothing, lol, but have we heard him and/or Chase actually refer to her as dead?

A "troubled soul" would seem fitting for Aiden's wife. Has he said she's dead? I know being dead on a soap means nothing, lol, but have we heard him and/or Chase actually refer to her as dead? Aiden has mentioned his wife's death and Chase referred to it yesterday. There is some speculation that this character will relate to Rafe in some way. |

I'm really hoping that Meredith could be a new love interest for Rafe and that Days has given up on Jordan entirely. Hoping she's on her way off our screen.

Wasn't Meredith a character already on Days? Chad's mom's name I think. Do think she's coming back from the dead or it's a completely different character? Maybe Mandrake is a hitman that Stefano hires to kill Sami.
