Wondering why everyone is talking about Chloe's meds like they are a magic elixir and will cure her. "You are taking your medicine now, so you will be better."
My understanding of antidepressants is that they would take a while to have their desired effect; it's not immediate. It's not like an antibioitic or an aspirin that will start to work within a short time. Didn't she read that long patient information flyer?
Can't believe everyone is so cavalier about it. I guess they don't know what else to do to help her.

Didn't you know that becuase Dr FeelyDoGood gave them to her, they'll cure her in a matter of hours? He's got the "magic" touch". He's cured every single patient he's had in record time (except poor Grace ) and most recently he even played bio chemist and created his OWN drug. All of Salem bows down to his skills! LOLOLOLOLOL!!! It's the plot, jkjpatch!

I agree, it's totally plot driven, but also slightly annoying that they are once again not giving serious consideration for people who really do struggle with PPD (or other forms of depression).

But medication does help...it just doesn't help overnight and its helpfulness varies with each patient......

I did like the discussion that Chloe had with Maxine today. It was really heartfelt and good to see them give it more perspective.

I loved the discussion Chloe and Maxine had.It was so nice to FINALLY learn something about the nurse. It's nice to see that she's a part of this, rather than someone in the background we never hear from.

Yep, I wrote I liked that part in the summary. I also believe it's possible Chloe is receiving now the meds intravenously so it will work faster than pills.

I suspect she's receiving the meds intravenously as well. She did say she's already starting to feel better, and there's no way she'd be feeling better that fast if it was being given to her in pill form.

I agree she's getting IV meds and is probably starting to feel somewhat normal.
I loved, loved, LOVED that Maxine was there, and the story she gave.

I absolutely LOVED the Maxine interaction! That's what I'm loving about Philip being so great toward Chloe, too. The lady needs understanding, not Melanie and Kate labeling her "insane".
And you all are right about the meds. I'm a therapist, and as a general rule, we tell our clients to give psychotropic meds about 3 weeks to take full effect. It wouldn't have mattered if Daniel had prescribed the "wrong" meds because she'd only been taking them for 1 or 2 days. I've never heard of an IV anti-depressant or mood stabilizer (could be though, I don't work in a hospital setting), but I know that some anti-psychotics are injected. That's only when clients are too severely impaired without them and too disorganized to take their meds daily though. Shouldn't really be expecting Days to not take some license with this stuff though, right? I guess they're getting it pretty close and I should be happy with that. Just glad Chloe's finally receiving some much needed help!

With Maxine's story told to Chloe, I'm wondering if the casting call for an African American football player will be her son that she mentions???

With Maxine's story told to Chloe, I'm wondering if the casting call for an African American football player will be her son that she mentions??? Hmmm. That's a good point. If that is who they were casting for, I wonder how he would work into everything. I'd love to see more of Maxine though. She could be fun! As for the son, it would be really nice to have a bit more diversity in the cast.
