SALEM INN, ROOM 1202
 
Philip: It reminds me of the time we stayed at the Marriott in Cleveland.
Chloe: When we were waiting for Wesley’s paternity test results.
Philip: Remember what happened that night? Between us, I mean?
Chloe: Of course I remember. It’s the night we got back together for good. That was the …
Philip and Chloe finish the sentence in unison.
Philip: ...Hottest sex I ever had.
Chloe: ...Most romantic night of my life. ... What did you just say?
Philip: I said it was the hottest sex I ever had, well, up to that point in time.
Chloe [pretending to be mad]: Men!
Philip leans closer to Chloe and speaks softly. 
Philip: I’m up for a repeat performance. How about you, Opera Girl?
Chloe [playfully]: I could be convinced.
They begin to kiss, unbutton, and unzip, when Wesley starts to cry. They look over in the direction of the crib and watch Wesley change positions and fall back to sleep. They look at each other.
Philip: Now where were we?
Chloe: I’ll refresh your memory.
She kisses him as she rips Philip’s shirt open.
Chloe: There’s another shirt you’ll never wear again.
Philip laughs as he takes off the shirt, his belt, unties Chloe’s robe, and slips his hands around her bare waist. Chloe wraps her arms around Philip’s head, one-night-stand style, as they kiss. They fall onto the bed and roll around, two Type A personalities each trying to get the upper hand (so to speak). Chloe proves victorious as she pushes Philip down so he’s flat on his back.
Chloe: Ha! Now I’ve got you where I want you.
Philip: You didn’t win, you know. I let you win.
Chloe: Shhh, you’ll wake the baby.
Philip closes his eyes as Chloe starts licking his chest and using her tongue in other ways that make Philip's body convulse with pleasure. Without warning, Philip grabs Chloe and flips her onto her back. She lets out quick shriek.
Philip: Shhh, you’ll wake the baby.
Chloe: I didn’t realize we were going for “best two out of three.”
Between kisses, Philip speaks.
Philip: Admit defeat, Opera Girl.
Chloe: Why does losing to you always feel like winning?
He laughs as he brushes her lips with his.
Philip: It’s because I’m that good.
Chloe touches Philip’s face and he kisses her. He fondles Chloe’s breasts and kisses her exposed skin slowly and purposefully starting at her neck and working his way downward.
Chloe: I surrender.
Philip: Heh. I knew you would.
Chloe strokes Philip’s hair and breathes faster and harder with every kiss. She watches him intently, never taking her eyes off him, knowing that she will never take for granted one moment of pleasure that Philip gives her, whether he’s making love to her or not.

TWO WEEKS LATER, CHLOE AND PHILIP’S LAKE DISTRICT HOME
 
It’s the first night in their new home and Philip and Chloe are standing at Wesley’s crib just watching him sleep. Minutes pass with both of them silently and contentedly watching their son as if they are watching the best movie ever. Finally, Philip breaks the silence with a whisper.
Philip: Let’s move his crib into our room.
 
Chloe shakes her head, double-checks the baby monitor, then she takes Philip’s hand and leads him out of the baby’s room. She shuts the door part-way and they walk down the hall into their bedroom.
Philip: What’s the matter? Not a good idea? It’s our first night in the new house and ….
Chloe kisses Philip.
Chloe: I think it’s really sweet of you to be all overprotective about Wesley, but all the baby psychology books say, no, it’s not healthy for a baby Wesley’s age to sleep in his parents’ bedroom.
Philip: Even after he’s been kidnapped?
Chloe: I haven’t gotten up to that chapter yet.
Philip looks a little sad and suddenly a mischievous smile crosses his face.
Philip: What do the baby rulebooks say about the father sleeping in the baby’s room?
Chloe: Oh brother.
Chloe starts to walk away when Philip grabs her hand.
Philip: Well then ... I guess since it’s going to be just you and me sharing a room … we should make the best of it. Don’t you think?
He pulls her close.
Chloe: What did you have in mind?
Chloe waits for an answer while running her fingers through Philip’s hair.
Philip: This.
 
Philip puts his hand on Chloe’s face and kisses her lips, then her cheek, then he slides his mouth down the side of her neck, causing her to shiver. He gently pulls the neckline of her blouse so that her shoulder is exposed and he lightly rubs his nose against her bare skin. She unbuttons her blouse quickly so that Philip can access more of her bare skin and she lets her blouse fall to the floor and kisses Philip hard. Philip whispers.
Philip: Ready to break in our new bed?
Chloe: Mmm hmmm.
 
The two of them continue kissing and nuzzling as they move toward the bed. More clothes come off and more bare skin is exposed. Philip is lying on his back as Chloe lays kisses all over his torso. She pushes her hair behind her ear.
Chloe: It’s my turn to be on top tonight.
He grabs her and flips her over laughing.
Philip: I don’t think so.
He kisses her.
Chloe: You don’t play fair.
Philip drinks in Chloe’s beautiful body with his eyes before he gets to work stroking her skin and touching her in all her favorite places. He knows exactly what to do to send her into a frenzy. She moans and he involuntarily laughs a wicked little laugh.
Philip: I like our new bed.
Chloe: Mmm. So do I. Oh god. So do I.
She reaches for the back of his neck, pulls him toward her and kisses him deeply.
Philip: Oh baby. Tell you what. I’ll let you be on top tomorrow. But right now, I just need to be inside you.
Philip covers Chloe’s lips with his own as the two of them become one. He breaks off the kiss momentarily and looks at her. Her eyes glisten with tears as she looks back at him.
Philip: Are you okay, sweetie?
Chloe smiles and nods.
Chloe: Oh I’m so much more than okay. Welcome home, Philip.

Kind of saddened to see there are only 6 chapters yet. Must be the Kate/Victor showdown! We haven't seen anymore of that yet!

Boy Loved the way they celebrated being in the new house. My favorite part was when Philip wanted to bring the crib into their room. So funny when Chloe said all the books say it is not healthy for a baby his age to sleep in his parents room. When Philip asked about what if the baby was kidnapped and Chloe answered that she did not get to that chapter yet. Thanks for the chapter Kpatch. Any previews for the weekend.
