they do look a lot alike..what do you all think? can Sami brady really be recast? check out this interview with Anne Judson-Yager. they even sound alike ha..a lot of Social media websites say shes possibly taking over the role of Sami. but nothing is written in stone as of yet..we gotta wait for NBC to confirm it! but all indications say..Sami may not be going anywhere..well not for long lol time will tell.

I hope not! I myself am ready for a break from. Ms. Samantha Jean. She has been the focus of this show for WAY too long IMO. I would much rather see the show stretch just a bit and focus on some of the many other characters of the show. There are plenty who are more interesting if given the s/l, writing and time.

To me there is NO reason to replace Sami. On top of that, this role is Allison Sweeny's. Why not just let it go with her. If after a few Sami-free years they really want to bring her back then maybe I'll be okay with it.

There is a resemblance but I don't believe the role will be recast. I saw an interview with Alison Sweeney on the Wendy Williams Show, in which Alison spoke about being open to return for holidays or special episodes.

It would be an interesting choice. The picture of her also looks like there is a resemblance to Guy Wilson (Will). But, I don't want to see Sami recast at this point. I'm ready for Sami-free Days.

I am also looking forward to a long break from Sami. I think I read someplace that Alison Sweeney said it would break her heart if they recast Sami. But I think she has given up the right to have a say.

I don't see the role being recast in the near future. I don't think viewers want an immediate recast. The current story looks like it will lead to Sami leaving town.

I am thinking no recast either, I don't see the fans accepting her and we do need a break from Sami! I would love the show to focus on other characters and develop their stories!

as a longtime of not liking  Sami ..i hope Sami is not recast either..we need a break from her. i am a Nicole fan tho

This is an excerpt taken from a May interview with Alison discussing her departure. It certainly sounds like she is open to returning in the future.

Sweeney revealed that she had no say over what was written and that her only leverage "was to promise that I'll come back to the show if someone gets married or dies, or for Christmas or the 50th. I could not handle it if I was not there for the show's 50th anniversary next year. I very much wanted that door left open, and Gary Tomlin wrote a great send-off story that allows that to happen. I will always be a Days champion. I hope Salem is still here in five years and that there's still a job for me."

If they were to ever re-cast the role of Sami Brady it would be a little hard for me to get used to the re-cast especially since Alison Sweeney she pretty much grew up in the role
