In the final segment of the episode….
Eve and Paige stop for ice cream in the square. Eve drops the bomb that Eve was married to JJ’s father. Paige is shocked and angry that she didn’t know this before. But Eve says it was short-lived and annulled and never consummated. (Whew. Thank goodness!) She mentions Jack left them something but won’t say what. She asks Paige to refrain from contact with JJ for tonight so she can have the time to explain it more thoroughly without Paige hearing Jennifer's twisted version. Paige agrees, but asks her mother to give JJ a chance. Eve wants to know more about the kind of trouble JJ got in, before she makes a decision about him.
At home, JJ asks his mother what happened. Jennifer can’t talk about it, but asks JJ to avoid Paige until she can explain everything to both Abigail and JJ in the morning. JJ agrees, but he wants reassurance that Jennifer still likes Paige, even if she doesn’t like her mother. Jennifer promises that what goes on between her and Eve won’t affect JJ and Paige. She changes the subject and mentions graduation. JJ begs her not to cry at the ceremony. Jennifer hugs her son and tells him she’s going to bawl like a baby. Cute moment.
(Side note: JJ sprinted up the stairs at the end. I hope that doesn’t mean we’ve seen the last of him.)

Uh oh!! This doesn't bode well for the young lovebirds. JJ is very protective of his mom, so I don't think he is going to take this lying down.
I just hope that finding out about Jack's marriage to Eve and this new legal problem doesn't push him back into Rory and Bev's orbit.

I just hope that finding out about Jack's marriage to Eve and this new legal problem doesn't push him back into Rory and Bev's orbit. I think there was a foreshadowing of that today. I hope he doesn't turn to drugs again. |

The other thing that struck me was that Jennifer said she would tell JJ the next morning. The morning of his graduation ceremony? Really Jennifer?
Even though Eve told Paige the same thing, I'll give her a pass because she has always been deplorable.
