Alone, Gabi and Rafe have a heartfelt talk and Gabi tells Rafe that he was more than a brother, he was her father. Sweet. Will arrives with Sonny and brings Arianna in for a last hug. OMG get your tissues out. Will and Sonny assure Gabi that they are going to visit her all the time and bring photos and videos of the baby. Will says they will serve Ari tamales. Gabi cries and tells the baby how much she’s going to miss her and that thinking of Ari is what will get her through her prison sentence. Gabi thanks Sonny for everything, and Sonny tells Gabi that she is just as much a part of his family as Will is. Gabi tells Will that even though it didn’t work out romantically between them, he’s her best friend. Why did this scene make me think of Dorothy’s speech to the scarecrow, tin man, and lion? Well, apparently the hearing was offscreen and Gabi is about to be transferred to the prison facility. Out in the courthouse foyer, she says one last tearful goodbye to everyone, telling them she is going to use the time to become a better person, someone they can be proud of. Today’s episode seemed like a farewell for the actress as well.

They won't show the hearing or anything? I mean, I guess that's ok, but....seems like they could write SOMETHING.

Very good. Very sad. It sounded like Gabi got 20 years intead of 10. Of course they can bring her back whenver for "good behavior" or whatever. I mean, how long was Nick actually gone?
I just can't imagine saying good-bye to your baby knowing you will not be there to watch her grow. It broke my heart. I also liked Rafe and Gabi's scenes.

I wonder if we'll hear Will and Sonny mention Gabi now and then as the months and years go by, or out of sight, out of mind.

I figured that with the plea agreement we wouldn't see the courtroom.
Gabi's goodbye scenes were so sad. I liked her and Sonny saying their goodbyes. They grew to become like brother and sister.

Camila Banus was really great throughout Gabi's confession and acceptance of her fate. And now the character can be offscreen and can actually have some real gravity when they bring her back. She'll be a woman who did time and missed out on her child's life. I loved how Kate drew parallels between Gabi/Nick and herself/Curtis earlier this week.
