Click on the Quote button in the upper right hand corner of the post you wish to quote. It will place that member’s comment within a new post box. If you'd like, you can shorten the quote to call attention to a particular passage. If you want to comment below the quote, make sure you are outside of the quote box, not inside (after the [/quote] code in the BB Code view).
The easiest way to make sure your comment is after the quote box, and not inside, is by viewing your post using the “BB Code” tab at the bottom of the post box, instead of the “Preview” tab.

is there something up with the quote options? every time I try to shorten it to draw attention to a specific it suddenly quotes nothing I only realized today that it looked like I rolled my eyes at fluffysmom but it was a part of the recap about ava that I was rolling eyes for it showed that she said and then cut the whole thing out and didn't leave what I left ... this is new so I didn't know if it was a glitch or if I did something wrong |

You can check and see what it looks like before you post by clicking the "preview" tab at the bottom of the posting box. It is possible that you deleted more than you intended to. PM me if you still have trouble and we will figure it out.
