I'm curious about how readers feel about music being included in fanfics. I know that songs are often an inspiration for me as I write and I like to share my inspirations within the story. I also know that it's not always convenient for readers to listen to a song that's included in a chapter.
So how do you feel about music? Does it enhance the story, help you understand an emotion, or do you usually skip over it? Please be honest.

I usually listen to the songs as I read. Sometimes it's not good timing to listen to the song. Songs can set the mood for a scene.
