Chapter 5 SALEM HIGH - AUDITORIUM It was now afternoon. School had let out for the day a few minutes earlier. Sydney and Rhiannon were in the auditorium. SYDNEY: You're sure she'll like this? RHIANNON: She'll love it. Trust me. Sydney's phone buzzed. She pulled it out an read the text. SYDNEY: It's her. She's on her way. RHIANNON: Okay. I'm gonna leave you two alone to talk. But, text me afterwords and tell me how it went. SYDNEY: I will. Thanks for helping me set this up. RHIANON: No problem. Good luck. SYDNEY: Thanks. Please hit the button on your way out. RHIANNON: You got it. Rhiannon went over to an mp3 player connected to an amplifier which lay on a chair. She pressed play. The Gator Creek version of "Danny's Song" began playing. A moment later, Ceri walked in. CERI: Hey. SYDNEY: Hey. Ceri walked onto the stage and she and Sydney kissed. SYDNEY: How are you? CERI: I'm good. How are you? SYDNEY: Great. CERI: That's good. So, what's this big surprise I've been told to come here for? I see that you're playing our song. SYDNEY: Yep. And the surprise is coming in a minute. But first, dance with me. Ceri smiled and took Sydney's hand in hers. The two danced together until the song finished. SYDNEY: And now, it's time for the surprise. CERI: Okay. SYDNEY: I'm a little nervous. So, this, um, might take me a minute. CERI: It's okay. Take as much time as you need. SYDNEY: Ceri, I love you. CERI: I love you too. SYDNEY: And, these last two years have been the best of my whole life. CERI: Mine too. SYDNEY: You've made me the happiest girl in the world. And I never want it to end. I want to be able to spend the rest of my life with you. Now, of course, we'll wait until after graduation. And, I just want to know...if you think you'd... CERI: Sydney, are you asking me what I think you're asking? SYDNEY: Yeah. A tear came to Ceri's eye. Not out of sadness, but of joy. SYDNEY: So, what do you think? I guess I'll do this the traditional way, even though I don't have a ring yet. Sydney took Ceri's right hand. She knelt down on one knee. SYDNEY: Ceridwin Lynette Alamain, will you marry me?

Chapter 6 SONNY & WILL'S HOUSE Will had checked him computer and rechecked it. WILL: I'm telling you, Sonny. There's nothing there. Not even in the spam mail. SONNY: Nothing on my e-mail, either. They wouldn't have sent it to Gabi's e-mail, would they? WILL: No, they already know that Gabi's deceased. Will shut his laptop. WILL: Well, it looks like we're gonna have to have a little talk with our daughter. Will went over to the bottom of the stairs. WILL: Ari! Ari came walking down the stairs a moment later. ARI: Yes, dads? WILL: You wanna tell us what's going on here? ARI: What do you mean? WILL: I mean, why hasn't the school e-mailed me about letting you guys out like you said they would? SALEM HIGH - AUDITORIUM SYDNEY: Will you marry me? Ceri gasped. CERI: Yes! Of course I will! Sydney stood up and the two kissed. SYDNEY: We're gonna take time to do this, though. We need to get through school before we actually do it. CERI: I completely agree. We'll both take as much time as we need. SYDNEY: Good. I just couldn't wait another day to be with you. You are the most amazing girl in the world. CERI: So are you. The two kissed again. CERI: So, this is the big secret you and Rhiannon were keeping? SYDNEY: Yep. CERI: She's good at hiding stuff. Not as good as you, though. And I mean that in a good way. SYDNEY: I know. I love you. CERI: I love you. Hand in hand, the girls walked out of the auditorium.

Chapter 7 KIRIAKIS MANSION The phone rang. Brady walked over and picked it up. BRADY: Kiriakis. Pause. BRADY: Who's calling? Pause. BRADY: Who is this? How did you get this number? Pause. BRADY: Hello? Brady looked at the phone curiously. He put it back on the hook. BRADY: Well, that was strange. WILL & SONNY'S HOUSE WILL: Any idea why that is? Ari thought for a minute. ARI: Nope. SONNY: No idea at all? ARI: No. Why? Did you not get it? WILL: No, neither of us did. ARI: Did you check the spam folder? SONNY: Double checked it. ARI: Hm, that's weird. What about mom's e-mail? WILL: We deactivated your mom's e-mail after the accident. ARI: Oh, right. Yeah, I remember now Ari looks at her wrist as if checking a watch, which she does not have on either arm. ARI: Oh, look at my wrist and the lack of a watch on it. I should be going... Ari stands up. WILL: I don't think so, young lady. Come back here and sit down. Ari sits down. Sonny and Will sit across from her. SONNY: So, what's the scoop? ARI: What do you mean? WILL: Look, there's no e-mail. We all know there's no e-mail. But, when I couldn't find the e-mail, I called the school and asked about it. ARI: You called my school? SONNY: Yep. ARI: Why? WILL: I was concerned when I couldn't find the e-mail. So, I called and asked if they could resend it. Low and behold, they didn't know what I was talking about. They said that there was no e-mail sent out. They also said that, for the majority of this week, you have mysteriously vanished from school.

Chapter 8 KIRIAKIS MANSION Brady was sitting in the living room reading the newspaper, when Henderson the butler came in. Now, this is not the Henderson we all know and love. This is Henderson's son, Henderson, who continued to family business of working for the Kiriakis family after his father's death. HENDERSON: Sir. Brady looked up from his paper. BRADY: I hope you have some good news for me, Henderson. HENDERSON: I traced the call, sir. BRADY: And? HENDERSON: Nothing. BRADY: That's not good news, Henderson. HENDERSON: I do apologize sir. However, when I say nothing, I literally mean nothing. Brady put down the paper. BRADY: I don't understand. HENDERSON: Well, when I traced the call, it gave me a 555 number. As you and I are well aware, 555 numbers are fake. They're only used in those silly television stories when they need a convenient number. BRADY: I see. However, not all 555 numbers are fake. Most of them just lead to directory assistance. HENDERSON: Well, naturally. I checked into this number by calling it back, and the operator said that this number does not exist. BRADY: Well, this is confusing. HENDERSON: I'll say. BRADY: You'll say what? HENDERSON: What? BRADY: You said, "I'll say". You'll say what. HENDERSON: Oh, never mind. I was just agreeing with you. BRADY: That's nice. So, we're getting calls from people who don't exist. What would grandfather do in a situation like this? HENDERSON: Well, sir, I unfortunately did not know the late Mr. Kiriakis very well before his untimely demise. However, I have heard many stories from my father about him. Based on what father has told me, I should like to think that Mr. Kiriakis would have father call one of his men to look into this. Brady snaps his fingers. BRADY: I've got it. Henderson, call one of grandfather's men, or their descendants for that matter. We need to have this looked into. HENDERSON: Right away, sir. WILL & SONNY'S HOUSE WILL: So, you wanna explain this to us? ARI: There's really nothing to say. SONNY: I disagree. WILL: As do I. Ari rubbed the back of her neck. WILL: Ari, why haven't you been at school this last week? Ari put her hand back down and sighed. ARI: Because I hate school!

I think Will and Sonny will expect more of an answer than that.
I like it that Henderson's son works for Brady.

Chapter 9 WILL & SONNY'S HOUSE WILL: You hate school? ARI: Yeah. SONNY: I think we need a little more to go on. ARI: Look, I just hate it there, okay? WILL: What exactly is it that you don't like about it? ARI: Everything! No one there likes me. No one's nice to me. The teachers are horrible. It's just a really terrible school. WILL: Is that the only problem? Ari sighs. ARI: I guess not. WILL: What else is going on, sweetie? Ari looked down. ARI: You know what next Monday is. Will looked sadly at his daughter. WILL: Yeah. I know. ARI: It's just...this last year's been really hard on me. Will moved over to sit next to his daughter. WILL: I know it has, darling. It's been hard on all of us. ARI: I mean, I started boarding school three years ago, even though I didn't like it. Like I said, everyone there's horrible to me. No one likes me. SONNY: I remember when I was your age. I hated school, too. WILL: Same here. ARI: And now, it's been a whole year since... Ari took a sharp breath. ARI (crying): I just want my mommy. Ari hid her face in Will's shoulder, and Will put both arms around his daughter. WILL: Ssh. It's okay. I know. I know you miss your mom. I miss her too. It's okay, sweetie. Just let it out. Daddy's here. KIRIAKIS MANSION Brady walked into the kitchen. BRADY: Any news? Henderson turned around. HENDERSON: I have someone working on it, sir. BRADY: Excellent. Good work, Henderson. HENDERSON: Sir? BRADY: Yes? HENDERSON: What exactly did the caller say?

Chapter 10 KIRIAKIS MANSION BRADY: I don't really know. I couldn't hear very well. Brady's phone rang. He picked it up. BRADY: Hello? Nothing came but static. BRADY: Is someone there? Hello? More static followed. BRADY: Okay, I'll say this one more time and then I'm hanging up. CALLER: Wait. Whoever it is that is calling is using a voice distorter. It's hard to hear the caller in general, as there is a lot of static. CALLER: Don't...up...I...tell...some...It...ve...im...tant...you...sten...me. BRADY: You're breaking up. I can't hear you. CALLER: ...to...woods...mor...at...o...I...have...mes...for...there. BRADY: What about the woods? CALLER: ...to...night...o...have...sage...you. BRADY: Okay. I think I've got it. CALER: ..there. Brady hung up the phone. BRADY: Well, whoever it is, looks like I'm gonna find out tonight. HENDERSON: Shall I pull the car around, Mr. Black? BRADY: No thanks, Henderson. It's lovely evening. Time for a little stroll, I think. I don't know how long this'll take, so don't wait up. WILL & SONNY'S HOUSE - ARI'S BEDROOM Ari was washing her face. She dried it off with a towel. She then walked into her room just as her phone went off. ARI: Hello? Pause. ARI: Yeah, I'm back in town. Pause. ARI: School let out a week early. Pause. ARI: I was going to this afternoon. I only just got home this morning. Pause. ARI: Okay, sounds good. Love you, too. Ari put down her phone. She smiled and laughed. ARI: I can't believe they actually fell for it. I knew Dad, Grandpa, and Sonny would buy it, but I didn't think Great-Grandpa was so gullible. Looks like I'm gonna have fun with these people.

So in this fan fic, Ari is she a teenager? If she is then I wonder where her mother Gabi is? Or I wonder if Gabi has had any role whatsoever in her daughter's upbringing?
I wonder where other characters are in this fan fic like Ari's Aunt Allie? Her Uncle Johnny? Her Aunt Sydney? Or other kids in Salem like Parker Jonas? Theo Carver? Ciara Brady?
Or I wonder where other characters are in this like EJ? Sami? Nicole? Eric? Lucas? Daniel? Pretty much I wonder where the rest of the DAYS cast is?

terry - This story is a sequel to a series of stories that I wrote a few years ago. Links to all of the previous stories can be found on the first page of this thread. A few times within this story, I allude to the idea that Gabi died after some kind of accident. Also, Sydney appears earlier on in this story. It's pretty interesting. gapeach - The fun is just beginning.
